There may not be any Cowboys players who publicly say it. Personally, I think that kind of stuff should always stay in-house. But this quote from the article just kind of sums up having Owens on your team.

I still don't buy it tho cuz that statement is based on him calling out Romo about his overreliance on Witten, which is 100% TRUE, and about Garrett's half-assed play calling, which is also 100% TRUE. Other than this, TO had excellent relationships with Romo and Witten. Now I don't know about Garret but that's still minor in comparison to the things that occurred in the past. So, nah, I'm not laying the fault for the Cowboys' demise at TO's feet. disbelief

I'm not saying that TO is totally to blame, but if your concern (as the article suggests) is team chemistry, he has a proven track record of being counterproductive to that end. We shouldn't even know that he has an issue with Romo and Witten. You handle that stuff in-house like a man, not thru whiny fits to the media and sideline tamtrums. If he'll clown like that in full view of the world, you can only imagine how he carries himself behind closed doors.

What's to think about? TO is a cancer and any team that has him will never win it all.

Oh really? Who is more effective, T.O. or Romo? Who was the BEST player on the field in the Superbowl when Philly made it a few years ago?

It's no coincidence that Philly went on a winning streak when TO got hurt, and then when TO came back, they lost the Super Bowl. Who was the best player on the field that game? How about the man that GOT the ball to TO? And all TO could do was take potshots at McNabb after the game. Who knows what kind of shit TO was stirring DURING the game?

TO is a whiny little man, and you've played enough team sports to know that there is no "I" in "team".

But at the expense of his teammates, to which they then end up NOT winning. He defeats his own purpose.

Cowboys can win with Roy as the #1 receiver. Now, according to reports I hear on WFAN, Jerry Jones son is looking into cutting T.O., so stay tuned.

You sure about that? Ask Jeff Garcia. Ask McNabb. Ask Hugh Douglas (who admitted they had fisticuffs in the lockerroom one day). And NOW, ask Romo and Witten.

Dude, it CAN'T just be the "media" in THIS case. Why did the Eagles suspend him and ban him from their facilities? Was that the media's doing?

If so, Uncle Al will then have a WR corp of:

T.O.
Chad O
Plax

And yet MJ never had chemistry issues and he won 6 titles. What has T.O. won? Nothing. Nada. Zelch. Goose egg. That's the difference: T.O. tears teams up at his OWN expense.

I guess you don't like winning anything significant then.

T.O has talent, but the problems he causes, the chemistry on teams are deystroyed by what he does overshadows and eliminate the contributions he makes on the field.

I am a long time huge 49er fan and the difference between T.O. and Jerry Rice (the greatest receiver ever IMHO) is huge.....not necesarily talent wise, but over all. I have seen them both play and develope and take two very distinctive paths with their talents.

There is a reason why Jerry Rice has three Super Bowl rings and T.O. has zero.

Amen!!!!

I got to meet Jerry Rice one time and he was very gracious, humble and considerate. And his work ethic on and off the field was impeccable. You never heard a complaint about him or from him. He was/is always the ultimate professional and his success and three rings are his reward for doing things the right way.

T.O. was kind of in the same mold when he first came up, but soon after Jerry Rice left the 49ers, T.O. started to change and has been getting worse and worse ever since.

I have never met T.O. I have heard several people on the streets say they don't like him. I have also heard many Pro Football players say they don't like him either.

Bottom line T.O. is selfish and distrupts a teams chemistry.

T.O. has played with some very good teams and QB's on the 49ers (after Walsh, Montanta, Young), Philly and Dallas and has not won anything.
