What countries are you talking about?

I don't know where Evvy's talking about in particular but I'm Irish and we had English forced upon us through centuries of British rule. Our national language just about survives but 95% of people (including me) wouldn't use it on a day-to-day basis.

On a flippant note, I know one English woman who would love to force herself on one particular Irish bloke! giggle

Talking of accents, the one accent that I find totally knicker-wettingly sexy is the Irish accent - closely followed by the Scottish
I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

C'mon and dance while you, while you still have your cherry babe, cherry babe..

He said, "I'm wicked psyched to be here. You guys ready to rent some cars?"

Forgive me if you already know, but the joke is he's audibly from Boston, while his coworkers are New Yorkers. The cities are bitter baseball rivals.

THE British one?!

British = English, Scottish, Welsh...

That's three different countries, before you even GET to the regional variations within each country.

For example, some Welsh accents are absolutely beautiful, imo.

Would that be north or south welsh? I find the north a little too Scousified

LOL! Very true! I can hardly tell a Rhyll accent from a scouse one..
This is not an exit

Hearin someone wit a British accent argue and raise their voice makes me laugh. It just sounds like they're tryin too hard to sound mad. I can't stand to hear it for too long tho. British, Scottish, all the accents that sound similar, I have to force myself to listen.
I hate to hear the Australian accent --- (hey chilli! hug lol) Oh how I loved Crocodile hunter but I had to mute my TV most times boxed
The way I hear it, African Americans sound very different to Caucasian Americans. Even the 'proper speaking' black Americans sound very different, but I luv to hear the American accent. Wat I've noticed is that alot of the time, Americans tend to use "uhhh" in between words, especially when talkin about something important and I hate to hear that.
Can someone please tell me the difference between Canadian and American accents...cause I don't hear a difference! confused

Are there any West Indian/Caribbean accents y'all don't like to hear?
[Edited 1/18/09 9:23am]
I swear the words "HATER" is wayyy over-rated...smh

Nah, Jayjai, it's the other way 'round. I'd like to hear you talking, because I've never heard any accent from Grenada! Do you think it's possible for me to listen to something you had recorded or whatever
eek I'm just so curious about what it sounds like lol

One of the definitions of BUFU is Butt Fuck. I think that's the context she uses it in since she's talking about a male teacher that flirts with the boys.

I hope that you know that a leather teddy is a type of lingerie.

I love accents from other countries. I even like the "Bah-ston" & Brooklyn accents that many dislike. The only one I'm not too crazy about is a heavy Southern U.S accent.....but that's because I'm in the South. I don't have a heavy accent though. People from other parts of the country can pick up on it at times. It's a little heavier if I'm yelling though.

Always been a fool for Canadian and New England accents. Darn that ex from Boston! lol

British? Not so much. On occasion, southern belles' accents have been known to move me, too.
