That is, if they don't transplant it to modern day. Those actors were so perfect in their roles. I think about Kurstin Dunst in Interview With the Vampire, which was even set in the 1700's, and even she didn't have that innocent quality. But I actually thought she was great until I saw these kids. t edit [Edited 1/15/09 18:43pm] See, Sweden was a very different place back then - we had only 2 TV channels which were both state owned so there was very little influence from the outside world - especially in a pretty low income housing that Blackeberg is. IT's working class people and they don't fly across the Atlantic to pick up on teenage fashion. I would have been the same age as Oskar about that time too

They are just Eli and Oskar, no label is needed on their relationship. It's one of the most beautiful love stories I have ever read.

It was perfect and disturbing just as it was. But, knowing us, the more gore the better. I think the gender issue added another layer of mystery to the film. Something to, you know, wonder and talk about for weeks. that's true I haven't shut up about that since last month Me either. People in my family are sick of me. I haven't heard anything about a remake of it, but he did recently release Mother Of Tears, which is somewhat of a sequel to it.

I found a whole shelf of Henning Mankell as well Mankell was ok - the first few books about Wallander. Now it's bo-RING. I read something by him that wasn't one of those and it was all messed up, like he was high when he wrote it. He makes loads of money though I guess.

and it was pretty good. The eneding is a bit questionable though A very good, tough slasher film I thought, until that ending - I can't remember the last time the ending of a film made me so infuriated. Damn, this is the film I was gonna post This film scared me to the point that I made my bf stay in bed until I fell asleep...(He wanted to play Warcraft in the living room) The ending was kinda lame, but I still thought it was creepy. Smooches;)

I grew up watching those, as Miguel likes to put it, "so bad they're good" 80's B /troma movies that USA Up AllNight used to show. I miss that show.....it was the highlight of my weekend as a kid. The most recent good B one was Trailer Park of Terror. A throwback to the 80's ones. The most recent goriest one was "Inside" (À l'intérieur)....about a psychotic woman stalking another woman and trying to literally cut her baby out of her womb. Eww She was pretty brutal. Worth a checking out or torrent download. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)
