I'm Finally Watching Sweeny Todd

The new one with Edward Scissorhands in it.

I tried once before, but was intoxicated and the singing just made me angry. Hopefully I will enjoy it with a clear head.

Your spoiler-free thoughts?

Hmmm, yeah, I need to add that one to my list of things to see after my year of not watching any movies.

Borat was the best thing in the movie.

It was better than I thought it would be. I liked that it was very dark and that it ended how it did.

I love it, even though I hate musicals in general. I have heard SO many people say that exact thing about this film that I hate to say it though. lol

The ending is great imo.

That movie was WAY better when I slept through it.

I barely made it to the end.

I would rather watch "The Sound of Music" while sitting on Imago's lap that see this movie again.

I loved Sweeney Todd.

All that out of the way though, I'm not sure Depp was really the guy for the lead. I know he and Burton are in luuuuurve with each other and all, but to me Sweeney just wasn't Johnny's strongest role.

I thought Sweeny Todd was only OK. I was excited to see it in the movie theatre last year, but I was a little disappointed. It did not gross me out or anything though.

So for Christmas last year, I got a DVD of the original Broadway version to compare . I like that a lot better.

I was rather *meh* about the movie the first time I saw it, but knew I'd be watching it again due to the Depp/Rickman/Burton factor.

Now I watch the movie ALL the time.

LOVE IT
