I liked THE FAMILY THAT PRAYS and WHY DID I GET MARRIED. I think those movies were a step in the right direction. I don't mind some of the Madea movies either but it's not something so groundbreaking and off the hook, for me. ...only sayin. I honestly think he's doing the Madea movies because he wants to make all the plays that Madea starred in as movies because that's what the fans of Madea want to see. I think this may be the last one for her and that he may concentrate on doing more movies like his The Family That Preys and Why Did I Get Married. I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09

I have mixed feelings about Tyler Perry. I didn't really enjoy the plays, I liked the films but can really sit through them twice, I like "House of Payne" for 2 reasons:
Curtis is funny as hell and the barbershop scenes and for FOINE as hell Denyse Lawton! the Meet The Browns show is painful to watch [Edited 2/1/09 20:20pm] "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I have never seen a Tyler Perry movie yet.
I know his plays were very popular. I've always been under the impression that the Medea thing was just plain ol' funny drag. Why is it coonery??? Serious question.

Serious question. me either I just put "Family that Prays" on our Netflix because I love Alfre Woodard and like Kathy Bates. And if there's a bitch fight between the two...I'm so there. I don't think he's in drag in that tho.
