I love my IUD. It was worth it. I mean, it's good for 10 whole years.

But by the time it's supposed to come out, I'll be old enough to convince a doctor to plug the tubes.

OK, how does the IUD work? It doesn't look like it would prevent the sperm from entering the womb. Is it like an irritant that keeps the womb hostile and upset so that an egg won't attach? I don't get how a little T shaped thing prevents pregnancy.

I don't know either...but I do know many women whose bodies have been messed up because of them, to the point they couldn't have children.
