If the dry skin has turned into a patchy rash, apply a thin smear of Sudocrem under your regular moisturiser.

It's a British product but you can find it on eBay. It's amazing.

It's primarily designed for babies' nappy rash but it works wonders on eczema. The relief is instantaneous.

It also reduces spots if you suffer from adult acne.

It's very, very white though - because of its high zinc content. A little goes a long way.

If the dry skin hasn't become a painful rash, like Anxiety said, Eucerin will work wonders.

p.s. I use Calypso Dry Oil Spray on my face, back of my neck and back of my hands all year around. It's marketed as suntanning lotion, but I use it to keep my skin from drying out (it's actually pretty useless as a suntanning lotion).

I don't rub it in after spraying, I just let it settle on it's own, after showering and towelling dry but before getting dressed. It's got this great coconut smell.

You can find it in most discount stores in the U.K.

It works as good as something like Dior Hydration Spray but costs about £1.50 instead of £35.00.

Again, you can find it on eBay (at a slightly inflated price).

My ex had terribly dry skin, and I went online and did a bunch of research (geek) to see what people suggested. This stuff kept coming up over and over:

She tried it and it worked really well. It's also dirt-cheap. You can get it at drugstore.com, and our local drugstore had a big bottle for about three bucks.

Oh, and this stuff too:

It's unscented and a little goes a long way. It's my favorite. It is more greasy though. The corn huskers lotion isn't greasy. thumbs up!
