Bought these Green Mushrooms for the little purple polyps on the rock. I don't know exactly what they are.
Purple Zoos with green mouths: Red Mushroom. It's being shy. This bitch is easily 5" across when fully open. Closeup of Leather: Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

Beautiful tanks ! I´ve only got two freshwater tanks, one with African cichlids and a bigger one with South American fishes.
How difficult is it to switch from freshwater to a saltwater tank ? JerseyKRs once told me that it wasn´t really that difficult but as far as I know it seems to be a whole different world.Lots of different equipment, lots of things to consider, quite expensive and it takes almost half a year before you can even think about putting the first fish in it, right ? Looks nice ! Could you please post a pic of the whole aquarium ? Your water doesn´t seem to look as cloudy as most other saltwater tanks. Why do saltwater tanks always look a bit cloudy with lots of tiny little debris particles floating around ? Freshwater tanks mostly have crystal clear water. At least mine do.Anyway, your water also looks crystal clear. Any special trick or just a good filter ? I keep a protein skimmer running all the time and I use Kent brand charcoal, it keeps the water crystal clear. I also clean the glass everyday, that helps. [Edited 1/8/09 17:02pm]

How ironic. I spent the good part of yesterday googling coral images for painting reference. And Mars had them all along.
These are gorgeous. More More

The biggest change is filtration. With any salt tank you almost have to move water from tank to tank. You cannot rely on just hang on back stuff. The switch is all about understanding biological filtration vs chemical. Yea, the cautious aquarist will wait to add to a tank, but I know people that wait 1 day and go buck wild. They usually end up with dead tanks. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

Jersey has a better camera than me and I don't clean my glass as much. Alot of soft corals prefer "dirty" water, so there is a line to straddle there. I also have a Mandarin Dragonet and their food needs as much habitat as possible. Their food eats off the glass, so I let it go sometimes for a week at a time. You can see coralline algae all over my front glass. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large.
