go to the doctor, acid can damage your esophogus and cause cancer, don't play with that.

I agree...if you think you have it, go see a doctor...but in the interim, you can take Zantac 150...I get acid indigestion a lot...often its pretty painful...and the Zantac calms things down pretty quick....and if I take it before bed, I can sleep through the night without feeling like my stomach is on fire....

...hope you feel better...hug

My sympathies. I have trouble with it, too, stems from the other meds I take, not fun.

I haven't had it in a long time. That's why I haven't eaten spicy foods in a long time. I'd get so sick that I wouldn't be able to keep anything down. Everytime I'd burp, it would be this nasty rotten eggs smell. Gross stuff. Prilosec always did the job for me. After about a day, I'd feel fine. They say ginger is good for indigestion too.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well, see a doctor AND stay out of P&R. That's what cured me of my stomach ailments...

Go to a doctor, but in the meantime drink water with a couple teaspoons of vinegar in it, once or twice a day. A gastroenterologist told my brother who has Crohn's disease to drink this for his acid reflux and it really works. Seems the problem can be that the stomach needs help producing the correct amount of acid.
You might also have a hiatal hernia which allows the acid to back up the esophagus.
You can also try sleeping with the head of your bed elevated, and avoiding fatty foods can help too.

Ive had my esophagus enlarged after choking. That usually cures a severe case of acid reflux. Of course, surgery sucks

If its a severe case, Yes, you should see a doc.

Definitely see a doctor as precaution. I had a really bad epsiode with acid reflux and had to be hospitized last year. I'm now on Omeprazole twice a day. Good luck.
