I can't wait for this fear to go away. I feel so terrorized. And I also feel so stupid for feeling this way.

It's so stupid. redface I had 3 seperate incidents with a bat over the last 2 weeks. We finally got it out of the house however I don't know that it's the same bat. I keep thinking it has a buddy somewhere. My cat is on high alert and even though she is trying to protect me, she's making me extra nervous. I know bats are good for this world but I'm terrified of them. I live by myself and those incidents took place after midnight. I don't have anyone that I can call at midnight to help me. So then daylight comes and of course, they can't find a bat in the daylight. I'm just so sick of it.

I know, I'm being stupid. It's just a bat and it's more scared of me than I am of it. boxed

You are not stupid nor are your feelings over this experience stupid hug

When I brought my 1st newborn home we had a visiting bat in our bedroom for several nights flying round and round over our bed and the crib - I was very alarmed eek

We finally figured out that the bat was comming down through the attic into the closet and then into our room - she was just looking for a way outside to hunt. Michael caught her in a pillowcase and tossed her outside then fixed the place in the attic and closet where she was comming in

Do you know where the bat is accessing your home ?

All I know is it came into my bedroom from the attic. The first encounter I had with it, I was alone and just shut the door. By the time my brothers could come, it was daylight and it was gone. My brother sealed up some holes that he thought it might have come through. I think the bat was probably still in the room with us, hiding. Then when my bro sealed the holes, it had no way out. I didn't have any encounters with it again until about 6 days later. It was in my bedroom inside the wall and on it's way out to terrorize. I closed the door again and locked it in there. The next day, my dad couldn't find it anywhere. We left the door open for most of the day. It must have gotten out of my room and went to my bathroom because when I tried to get ready for bed that night, it was laying on my bathroom floor. My dad finally got it, we think it was almost dead because it was not aggressive at all.

I thought that finally getting it out of my home would calm my nerves but it hasn't. I've been sleeping on my couch since Saturday. I'm making myself sleep in my bed tonight, whatever it takes. And if anything, it's lighting a fire under my ass in regards to fixing my house up. There were some things that I have been putting off. The time has come to nip them in the bud. Thanks for listening. hug
