I just dont llike the guy. Is he really that bad?

I am sure that someone more knowledgeable about drama could give a more educated answer, but I think he is alright. Better Off Dead is one of my all time favorites.
That being the case, Cusack starred in one of my 3 least favorite movies of all time; Being John Malkovich.

Yes, but is that it. He is new to me as an actor, i mean i saw some of his films but he didnt struck me as super great. The last two films i watched were horribly crap, war inc. and grosse point. I saw he is politically active, but dont know what that means.

As someone who is very political, I try not to evaluate the politics of outsiders or else I may end up not liking them.
Cusack has been around for a long time. He had a minor role in Sixteen Candles in 1983.
I just thought of another movie he was in that I can't stand; Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
You know what OzlemUcucu, your thread is making me realize that I do not like a lot of Cusack's movies. I may have to re-evaluate my opinion of him.

i like him. i don't think he's a very diverse actor, but i think he's very good at playing those john cusack roles. loved him in high fidelity. i know there are a couple of other movies i've liked him in, though right of the top of my head i can't think of what they are.

I thought 'Grosse Pointe Blank' was brilliant, 'High Fidelity' was very good, and 'Say Anything', 'Better Off Dead' and 'Sixteen Candles' are legendary in my book of 80s teen movies.

He was also quite good in 'Bullets Over Broadway'.

His choice of roles in the past 10 years don't excite me.

oh, right, "bullets over broadway". loved him in that.

Okay, I give this man another chance. A fan friend of mine said he is very active on his myspace and like to talk to people, which in a way is a great thing. Maybe he is more interesting that his awful roles...

I like him alot. I think he's a good actor.

What about "the sure thing"?

I like him. I liked him this movie--America's Sweetheart. It was with Julia Roberts and..a comedian, Billy Crystal(??)! , Catherine Zeta-Jones, and then Christopher Walkin played this crazy director! It was such a funny movie.

I've always liked him. He was really good in "Identity". Totally different type of role for him. It's a psychological thriller.
