I have. The negative aspect I'm not so proud of. I believe it can be a reflection sometimes. Sometimes we see the same charactoristics in ourselves that we see in others that we deem either negative or positive.

No, because I try to base that judgment on the "evidence" I've gathered on that person.

Almost always. It's in my nature to be an evil witch but it's also in my nature to be the most loving person. I feel pain more than anything else. Several times I have made judgements against someone based on looks and been totally ashamed of myself once a conversation started and I found out they were a diamond in the rough. I hate judging looks, makes me sick of myself. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

i judge people, but only for entertainment purposes. i tried yoga, but it doesn't relax me as much as when i'm just siting around, sipping a soda and judging others.

No, because I try to base that judgment on the "evidence" I've gathered on that person.I'm speaking about instant judgement in my last post, a long term judgement. My judgement on others is usually spot the fuck on, good or bad, when I've had time to assess the judgement I'm secure in standing behind . if I've misunderstood somebody, yes I feel guilty afterwards... is why I don't judge folks ..sometimes there's a piece of the puzzle you didn't see on a person..

often i do, especially if i find out that, at the time of my judgment, i didn't know more than one side of the story or whatever. for a time i was really good friends with someone i'd previously (and unfairly) judged as somewhat dimwitted. there are some judgments i will stand by until i die though. i always do feel guilty, though, if i'm judging on something really superficial (no matter how logical it may seem to my little brain at the time). people have said stuff to me and I asked them why do they think that and what did I do?... 'you think you it, don't you?' - a dude told me this, out of nowhere lol .. women are just barbaric towards each other anyway the eye rolling up and down staring.. for no reason lol.. when I say 'hello, how ya doing?' to them, seems to throw them off (like they expect me to be nasty back at them)

honestly, it depends on the person and situation. in most cases, though, i'm either relieved or irritated (again, i'm a hypocrite ). i'm relieved if their judgment of me is spot on, even if it's negative. i don't really mind when someone says something about me that i realize is true. i'm irritated if someone judges me in a way that i believe is false (it's more likely that it's true and i don't realize it) or generalized. there is also the situation where i don't care one way or the other. if someone means nothing to me, then their opinion of me, in turn, means nothing. i think i hate myself after this thread. Ex-Moderator | Well, it's the old "do unto others" thing, right? I know I don't like being judged, but as many have pointed out we all do it from time to time and sometimes it can be a good thing and sometimes it can be a negative.
I know I'm much less judgemental than I used to be, but I know I'm far from being completly free from judge-y behavior too. |

oh, i should give a serious answer about judging people...
i think i do judge people. i think EVERYONE judges other people. i think to a certain extent it's a survival mechanism. i judge people in terms of who i have to be guarded around, and who i should avoid, or who i think might be toxic or black holes of drama that i could get sucked into. hell, and sometimes i think i judge people in terms of how judgemental i think THEY are. i keep about 99% of my judgey thoughts to myself and really only use those thoughts to keep myself safe. the other 1% i will share with people if i think a person is a threat and other people should know before getting hurt by that person. i have a fairly good intuition about people, and if someone gets my spidey sense going, i don't want to see people i care about getting hurt so sometimes i'll share my bad vibe forecast if i think it will protect someone.
