That's about normal for a haircut color job.
I have paid $375 plus tip for haircut, color, highlights, blow dry in NYC.

You should not have flipped out, gift cards are designed to get people in the store then make them put more to the balance of the card (spend More) I know I work in a store and my job is to push them. I hope she looked good because that hair is gona grow back out in 6 weeks.

I'll probably get a haircut, colouring and curls this week and it will cost me about 150 Euro . With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

$125 is not outrageous for a cut AND color if it's an established salon. However, your wife shouldn't be charged for the second visit. Nor should she tip the second visit.

I pay about that for a cut and color...but it definitely lasts longer than a day. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Thank God my hair's dreadlocked and I do it myself! I dyed it yesterday. Cost me $33 or somewhere therabout to get the products. I swear the words "HATER" is wayyy over-rated...smh

Yeah, that's not uncommon.
For some people, it would be retarded to pay that. But I have very difficult hair, both to cut and color, and I've had so many bad experiences that I'll pay $$$ for somebody who is awesome to take care of it. I just go much less often than I would like. Though, my amaaaaazingly talented hairdresser knows I'm poor and never charges me more than $40, cuz I'm always sending him business. So that's cool. "What's 'non-sequitur' mean? Do I look it up in a Fag-to-English dictionary?"

It's not unusual and reasonable depending on the venue.
If she went to Regis or some other large chain, it would be unusually high. If she went to Toni & Guy it's about right or even slightly inexpensive depending on which stylist you get (pricing varies on the individual stylist's skill level). Some cut/style/color can be in excess of 200+, and on the extreme end closer to 500 or 600 (I'm talking Chicago and New York places for this ). but you can get a really good cut/style/color at Regis or Mia-Max for less than $100 if you get the right stylist--if' she's into Mall venues. Because I need to concentrate on other things, I'm going to see if I can avoid going to salons all year. We'll see how much money I save and if I can actually do it. Dare I say, I'm excited

My step-sister got her own chair and now only charges me $80 (including tip) to do all those things plus wax my eyebrows and upper lip. Plus she gives me a parafin wax dip for my hands. Of course, I have to do these things about every 8 weeks so it really starts adding up, even with the discount. I get this done too girl!!!! And do you believe that some women don't believe in waxing their upper lip? They are crazy, thats something I just can't do without. I consider it a necessity. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

That's cheap for hair cut and color. It cost like 500 dollars for the Right Color and Cut. Now, for a cut it should only cost about 65-75 plus tip and don't forget Products or Brushes. But when I got Highlights years ago cost me 150 for a whole head and that was 8 years ago. Redo-s they sometimes charge you,but some places won't.

I don't think you should flip out about it, even if it came as a surprise and it's something that bothers you. Just talk it over. Make sure next time it's an agreed expense.

tell you what though, next christmas buy her a wig instead okay? I don't even think she was properly pampered and spoiled...she said an hour of that time was because she was put under some drying machine that didn't work and they had to keep moving her around and stuff. It sounds almost stressful what she went through. well, i don't enjoy that kind of thing much. personally, i don't like strangers touching my head and face bits, as that makes me nervous, so i'm not really into the salon experience. plus, they usually smell kind of chemically charged, or something? my sister in law described her spa experience in actual India, where the fee was around $300.00 but carried out in the ancient tradition with heated oil, massage, and other such homeopathic stuff. she said she was actually having an out of body experience, she was so relaxed. now THAT i would go for...
