The book.
The movie was tedious. Most movies made of Stephen King books aren't that good. I think the only ones that did him justice were "Misery", "The Green Mile", and "The Shawshank Redemption". Okay, I liked the ending of "The Mist" in the movie better... (see, now, NEVER get me started on Stephen King! ) "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

The book by far. The movie is lame early 90's TV with bad effects. It's like his bad TV movie of The Shining. I'm surprised either of these are still on DVD.
With Stephen King, always go with the book.

No question. The book was far superior. For it to have been so long, King still found a way to keep it fast-paced with interesting characters and cool plot twists. It's not even a fair comparison, given the limits of a TV movie, to expect one to be able to deliver a comparable product.

The book, by far....the movie (much like most of the adaptations of Stephen King's books like "It" and "Needful Things", among others) was turrable.... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

The movie features my favorite song and that's enough for me.

The book. I prefer all his books to the movie version. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss

the book. however, 99 times out of 100 i will say this about any film adaptation of a book.
stephen king books, in all their length and detail, don't tend to translate well to films, because too often the films are made for tv and the budget can't live up to the material (imo). i liked misery and the green mile though i've yet to see the shawshank redemption :strayingwaytoofarofftopic: HE'S COMING AGAIN
