Have you ever been adored?

Have you ever been adored by someone who never told you they adored you? I'm not talking about an conceited egotistical sense of yourself, but you just knew that a particular person adored you...from afar? I'm not talking about flirting either

There's a woman I adore, but I could never tell her. The situation does not allow it. I don't give her romantic looks or call her pet names or anything like that. I am nicer and warmer to her than others and I'm not sure if she even recognizes that. I started thinking about the other women I have adored in the past that I never told and wondered if anyone ever felt that about me. I'll never know for sure, but I got a feeling about one or two people in my past that could have adored me lol It sucks to never know

Have you ever gotten a sense of that?

Since you put it that way, yes. Everyone adores me everyday, they just don't tell me.

I've been told a few times by girls and guys that they were crushing pretty hard on me when I was too oblivious to know. But the most memorable time came from a really pretty girl in high school...

I saw her daily in passing for years, but we never had common classes or friends or anything. At most I may have smiled and said "hi" to her once or twice as I do to just about whomever I make eye contact with. Anyway, on the last day of my senior year, she pulled me aside and said, "I just have to tell you -- YOU are sooooo fine!" It was like a great weight had been lifted from her... and she walked away. eekredface If I weren't black I'd have turned beet red.

I'm far from fine. But the fact she'd been silently watching me for however long she had and came up with the assessment that amid all the more brilliant, popular, athletic and drop-dead gorgeous guys at our school I somehow was "fine" made me feel like a million bucks. Knowing someone felt that way might have made me uncomfortable day in and day out, but I certainly could have used that confidence boost through the years prior, when I felt ridiculously awkward.

Yes, but not in any romantic way.

When I was 23 I finally met my father, he split on my mom when i was just a baby.
I have family on my dad's side that I never met until I was older because of this.

When I met my dad he was all awkward and sorta cold, I think his own guilt got in his way, but then I met his younger brother my Uncle Lolie. (spanish nickname)

My uncle walked in my dad's house, as soon as he saw my face tears started streaming down his face, he had a huge smile and he grabbed me. He gave me the tightest hug, and kissed my cheek, he then told me that my face didn't change.
He remembered me as a baby and very young girl. He told me he came to visit me in my mom's home. He was very detailed and what impressed me most is that he remembered my name,I never told him my name, no one had to introduce us. He knew instantly who I was, he didn't confuse me with my sister who is a year older than me. My own father has a hard time not calling me by my sisters name, even today, he still confuses us.

Not my uncle, I know he loves me beyond measure, even more than my own father.
I miss my uncle so (he's in PR so I don't see him much), I have 4 more uncles, but if I only ever have Uncle Lolie's love, its all I'll ever need.

Very hard to answer. If someone adored me and never told me about it, I wouldn't know anyway.

I believe so.

A science teacher in my high school. He treated me sooooo different than the other students. I noticed it and everyone else did too. It got to the point where ppl thought we were sleeping together. hmm

If I asked him for something or about something, he would drop everything to help me. Really sweet guy but creepy in a way lol

Maybe it wasnt adoration. eek
