What were your best and worst moments of 2008 ?

Mine were as follows:

1. The birth of my precious little grandaughter, Mylee in December

2. Passing my exam - only 1 year to go for my degree

The whole months of Jan, Feb, & March, that alone is enough!!

Best: this past Christmas seeing my brother again, also seeing Kiss again in March

Worst: most of the latter part of 2008

I lost my sister this year so 2008 was a very bad year for me and my family.

Best: President Obama's election, my sister's wedding and all of the activities surrounding that, finding out that I'm going to be an aunt, reconnecting with some old friends...

Worst: Having my heart broken, the death of someone that I love very much,my illness... Pretty much May-August 2008 wasn't very kind to me, but I've learned a lot about myself and for that, I am thankful.

Best: Getting my promotion at work, Obama's election, slowly building a better relationship with my father, becoming friends with someone I had written off years ago. Even though we're not as close as we were when we were younger, it feels good to let go of a lot of bullshit that I'd been holding on to.

Worst: Finding out my favorite aunt has lung cancer, the floods, my best friend strugglying with her 13 year old daughter, this goddamn economy and the possibility of losing my job, a bat being in my bedroom (I'm still traumatized, okay!)

best: other than the election can't think one one, but a good moment was when I got a great grade in the photography subject

worst: relationships I was thought I was forming with people, falling apart through non communication or contact.

Best...
becoming business partners with my dad...

being totally unaffected by the housing crisis, unemployment, the recession, etc...

leaving behind a 14 year career that nearly cost me my marriage/family...

Worst...
none to think of...my family and I have our health and we have each other, so there's really nothing to complain about...

best: knowing a bit of japanese..

worst: not passing my history class!

Best: nov.4 ,2008 barack obama elected president of the united states!!!

Worst: jul. 17,2008 seeing a dog get hit by a car.

Best -
Promotion at work and moving to a new area and a house I love.
Becoming good friends with a couple of great people.
Getting great tickets for Croke Park.

Worse -
Person I have deep, deep feelings for getting married...telling him how I felt, knowing he was on his stag weekend, the day of the wedding, seeing him after his honeymoon (ooh, that's tough to write) wearing his ring...all difficult moments.
Croke Park getting cancelled.
