Today's game has little to do with coaching, and more to do with that overrated, talentless joke of a quarterback.
The media has tried to anoint Romo the second coming of Staubach. Hell, I'd take Gary Hogeboom over this fucker. Romo sucks! Romo sucks! Romo sucks! He is exactly who we thought he was

Jason Garrett but I say Phillips starts next season, even if he doesn't finish it. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

[Bait snip -luv4u] Okay, maybe this isn't a "fantasy football league" per se, yet somehow I get the sneaking suspicion you're involved in one or two of them as well. Hope you are doing better in those than you are on here. He is exactly who we thought he was

Wade will be back...for one more year (unless they win the whole thing). Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

They need to get rid of Jason Garrett he has no idea what he's doing. Who the hell runs another run play on 2nd and 12 when you lost yards on the previous down??? Only to have no gain and have to pass on 3rd and 12 when EVERYBODY knows, you gotta pass now. His ineptitude this year was fuckdiculous. I'm guessing that last year's success was largely due to Parcell's plays/schemes and Wade's more relaxed coaching style. This year we got a good taste of Jason's ineffective approach. I actually like Wade and Jerry keeps saying he'll return, but the sloppy play and penalties are RIDICULOUS!!! As for Romo, he's inconsistent and ineffective in the NFL because he's NEVER won anything. IMO the main difference between most championship players and the rest is that most of the modern greats were winners throughout their lives from junior high, high school, to college. Tony ain't never won shit so losing doesn't stir up any passion or emotion when needed if you're gonna lead/inspire a team. As far as he's concerned he's already won with a $60 million contract, a starlet on his arm, and a job on the highest profile team in sports. In short, he ain't got no heart and he's too fuckin' laid back when they lose. If this was Aikman, his eye woulda popped out the socket and he woulda had a stroke on the sidelines yelling at those fools. In the 90s, all those players feared letting Aikman and Irving down cuz they knew they might get hit in the mouth. Not so much with Tony. [Edited 12/29/08 8:53am]

[Edited 12/29/08 8:53am] I tend to agree with a large part of this post. Also this laid back attitude is due to the coaching staff allowing it. Romo sent the punt team off the field yesterday on his own. I had never seen this before in 30 years of watching football. No discipline!!!! If you're not doing the fucking, then you're taking one.

But in his defense he DID get the 1st down on 4th and inches. Also Aikman would do stuff like that too if he believed the guys could get something done. But still, he ain't Aikman.

Wade Phillips vows to change
Wade Phillips declared that things will be different around Valley Ranch next season. "You can't just say everything is going to be all right," said Phillips, who has taken a pollyanna approach in the past. "But it's not going to be all right if we just keep doing the same things. And I'm talking about myself." He'll come up with a plan over the next week or so, and the admitted softie vowed that he'd be more demanding. He recognizes that the relaxed atmosphere around these parts didn't produce acceptable results. "It starts with me," said Phillips, who declined to discuss potential personnel changes but said offensive coordinator Jason Garrett and defensive coordinator Brian Stewart would return. "If you're not going to change the coach and you don't get the results you want, then the coach needs to change some things. I have to look at myself first - from how I deal with things, from how we have training camp, how we have practices, whatever. We need to alter some things. We need to adjust some things." Phillips didn't meet with the Cowboys today, so the players will have to get his get-tough message through the media for now. At least one team captain was skeptical about it. "If you know a person to be a certain way and then all of the sudden, you have an extreme change, I don't know," LB Bradie James said. "I don't know how well that's going to be taken. I don't know what he means by that. But he didn't address us, so I don't know."

They can have him if we get our draft picks back
Detroit Lions interested in Jason Garrett Todd Archer has confirmed the NFL Network's report that the Detroit Lions have requested permission to speak with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett about their head coaching vacancy. The Lions fired Rod Marinelli on Monday, one day after becoming the NFL's first 0-16 team. This is not new territory for Garrett, who last off-season turned down Baltimore and also interviewed with Atlanta.

If that ain't a drama queen I don't know what is. [Edited 12/29/08 16:28pm]

Oh and listen to Cris Carter's hypocritical, ignant ass talk about putting a bullet in TO. You know if TO had made these comments all hell woulda broke loose.

The great thing about TO is that, since he's done so much dishing out, he pretty much has to take whatever he gets. I love CC. "All he does is catch touchdowns." Only Buddy Ryan could make that sound like a bad thing. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis
