Last movie in theaters was "The Experiment". It's a German movie about an experiment on locking people up in a makeshift jail to see how they deal with being confined. It's based on real events that happened during an experiment at Stanford university. It's a really good thought-provoking movie, but the ending was kinda sucky.

Last movie on tv, was "The Last Time I Saw Paris" on PBS last night. It starred Liz Taylor, Van Johnson, and Donna Reed. Only watched it cuz I had nothing else to do.

At the movies:

The Ring- Freaked me out, still does.Though it's not

the scariest movie in the world.

Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets- Loved

it,just like the book.Better than the first, but these

disrepectful teenagers kept talking and moving around

during the movie so I didn't enjoy it that much. That's why

I don't go to the movies that much.

DVD:

Star Wars Episode 2- Very cool.To watch little Yoda

fight was worth it.

Saw 3 in one weekend a few weeks ago: Secretary, The Man From Elysian Fields & Brown Sugar. All were good.

Secretary was sadistic & interesting, pretty funny.

The Man From Elysian Fields was pretty good, I can watch Andy Garcia for hours & Mick Jagger was pretty cool.

Brown Sugar was nice, almost too nice. I would have liked more hip-hop in the film instead of simply pontificating on the subject. But Mos Def is becoming a favorite of mine, Queen Latifah is always good & that kiss by the bookcase was HOT! nod

I FINALLY saw the 1st Harry Poter movie on HBO a couple weeks ago, and wasn't expecting much have admit I loved it. It was a real good flick. Those kids are really good actors. All you sayin the the new one is better is making me excited to see it.

I bought Spiderman last week...kick ass flick. Fave comic book as a kid and the movie follows the story very well.

Finally, watched Men In Black II last night and it was pretty good. I love that pug-alien.

In the movies: FRIDA 2 weeks ago.
Awesome movie...Salma Hayek did an excellent job at portraying the artist. Oscar worthy performance. A must-see for anyone looking to enjoy a serious movie.

I agree...I saw Frida over the weekend, and it was excellent...the paintings morphing into reality morphing into paintings were a nice touch to the storytelling...very inspiring story artistically, it made me want to go live the artist's life right now...lol..and I loved just looking at Selma Hayek...other than the eyebrows, she looked a lot like Freespirit, and reminded me of her in terms of her strong, independent personality...

Great film, I reccommend it... smile

"Frida", powerful movie to say the extreme least..., Selma was superb in displaying the determination and strong will that Frida seemed to have despite the occurrences that she endured during her painstaking short-lived life. sad

I have personally seen many of her pieces in person sad, and not once have I fail to feel the personal pain within her work... within me. cry The profound work and images in which Frida created does strongly reflect the pain and saddness that she must of felt during her life... even with a strong, determined mind. rose heart peace

WB, thank you for the compliment rose..., but Selma is quite beautiful... way out of my league. wink Now the attitude I will agree on, for the most part. wink rose

As for the artistic approach shown is this moving, for anyone who loves art..., it does inspire you to no ends. heart

"Jason X"... Do NOT watch it. I will never understand why they insist on putting comedy in a "horror" film.

I knew better than to watch it, but there really wasn't much of anything else on. It was BAD!

Oh... and it had really bad acting...

Yeah... that's the Jason. They were on this ship in space and Jason is killing everyone... and then a robot kills him... but, wait... he comes back to life and kills some more! Lucky for us, the ending is left open for some more bad Jason movies.

It was horrible... painful even, but I sat there like a dumbass and watched the entire thing. confused

what was the name again of that movie about that female
piano teacher whom slices up her private parts with a razor
or something like that??

I'd like to see it but no one knows what I'm talking about
when I mention it.

It's not "the piano" zzz but some other movie. I think
it's one from last year or the year before that.

Anybody seen it?

You mean "The Piano Teacher" starring Isabelle Hupert, donĀ“t you?

Hupert plays a masochistic piano teacher and it is the most powerful performance I have seen in ages. The film is absolutely shocking, disgusting and fascinating at the same time.

Go see it, at your own risk wink
