Dewrede said: ZombieKitten said: it will exist separately from any original ventures simply for the extra cash ok The thing is, they wouldn't just be a cover band: they're a gala band...the ones hired specifically to perform at company events (more often than not Fortune 500 company events). Gala bands make much moula, booboo. It's often the side or "dayjob" job professional working musicians employ themselves with when they don't have a steady gig with a contract in a club, theatre, or by freelancing at music institutes or session work. I don't know what the pay rate is like in the States or Australia, but in Germany the current gala gig rate is 450-600 euros per band member per gig (that's about $640-$850 USD). It's good dough and gets a lot of mortages paid, vacations taken, and comfy luxury cars purchased...in cash.

Well, I had hundreds at the time of my own thread on this subject, but these ones didn't make the cut for one reason or another...however Bigelow's Treehouse just made its debut two weeks ago!

A cover band?
My suggestion would be The ReModels. Is that taken? edit: I just looked the name up. It is indeed taken. Ah well. [Edited 12/29/08 16:24pm]

In the old days there could be ten bands named the Rolling Stones, and assuming only one of them made it big it wasn't a problem. I think that may be part of the reason for adding a number to the end, like for our email addresses (but something I'd never do for my band!) [Edited 12/29/08 16:35pm] My Legacy

But I know if I wanted to call my band something simple like that it would already be taken on myspace! It's so silly, I could form a band called Sodanation, and (let's be honest) it's pretty unlikely that we're ever going to be big enough to play in the same circles & confuse our fans--except on the internet. It's sort of like mom & pop stores that have the same names in different cities, like the Leaning Tower of Pizza. I don't think that's a chain (perhaps it is), but I've seen several of them because it's a good name for a cheap pizza place. My Legacy
