is anything really on sale?


I was looking at getting a friend a LCD tv for christmas and was checking out various electronic stores to see who had the best price.
Mostly i was looking at the Samsung 37", the same one i have in my bedroom.
To my surprise everyone was 200.00 to 300.00 MORE than what i paid for the same make/model 6 months ago. WTH it seems to me that the sale/great deal ads are full of bs.

and thats the most holiday shopping i have done this season.

Exactly - don't be fool by the hype - shop wisely

I'm holding out on purchasing a camera for myself because I want to see how the sale prices go,
and was actually wondering if this is a good time to shop around or not.
Maybe I'll wait until the prices go down a little more since you made this observation.

Or maybe I'll buy one off of craigslist...
(I'm being really cheap, that's me, and I spent a total of $70 for 5 pairs of shoes and 5 bags for my f/s work - second hand, but hey, they were almost brand new and didn't look used, just need to spray them just in case )

Being December, alot of stores having "sales" now have made their month and are screwing people.

Wait 'till the end of a recession crippled January and you'll find some desperate retailers.
