Big Ben needs to take a rest. He wasn't looking too good before he was hurt. I realize it was the Browns, but Leftwich looked 100 times better than Ben. We actually looked like a playoff team, and we moved down the field and scored, offensive scores at that. Leftwich seems to see the field better than Ben. I hope he gets better. Go Steelers in the Playoffs!

Ben's always been hit or miss IMO. He's the type who needs lots of pass protection all the time. It's so easy for the other team to rattle him or break his concentration. He's strong but not very versatile. I'd just as soon go with the number 2.

If we don't step it up I don't see us getting past the first round of playoffs. sad The last few wins before this one were too close and you saw the way the Titans handled us.

I'm a Giants fan, but I'll admit - the Cowboys are loaded. They have the best talent in the NFC. But their talent isn't FOCUSED, and that's where coaching comes in. Only one team came to play today - how is that possible in a 'win-or-go-home' game?

But do they really? For all the media hype, the facts say that, in our division, Tony Romo has done little more than Jason Campbell -- certainly not enough to be seen in the same light as proven winners Donovan McNabb and Eli Manning. T.O. is certainly one of the best receivers in the conference (and league), but would you really prefer him over, say, Larry Fitzgerald or Anquan Boldin? The guy is special at times, but he drops the ball almost as much as Braylon Edwards. Witten is an elite tight end, but Marion Barber is not a standout in a conference that boasts Adrian Peterson, Brian Westbrook, Clinton Portis, and others. Defensively, their front line is outstanding, but their secondary is average at best. I'm not so sure I'd call them the most talented team in the NFC.

Can't only blame Ben for the Titans loss. After Ben drove down the field to make it a 14-10 game Steeler defense allowed the Titans to march down the field to score a TD the very next possession. Also that penalty on the field goal try gave Titans another chance at a TD (Which they got). Some 3rd and 20 which Titans were able to get a first down on. So I blame both sides, maybe more on the defense.

The "boys" have a terminal cancer in their locker room, and it's initials are T. O.

No team with Terrell Owens is ever going to win. I'll betcha a dollar to a doughnut that if TO had been around for the Eagles stretch run a few years ago, they'd have never made it to the Super Bowl.

Then he comes back for the Super Bowl and what happens? They lose.

I do not care how gifted an athlete TO is, he is a cancer to the room and you cannot overcome that.

So, as long as TO is a Cowboy, the Cowboys are screwed.

As an Eagles fan, I hate TO as much as the next guy, but come on! He played like a MFin' champ in that game! After he worked his ass off just to get back on the field way before the doctors thought possible! The Eagles lost that Super Bowl because they failed to take advantage of early opportunities, not because of anything TO did. Everybody who watched that game knows they should've gone to him more (like the Pats did with Branch). Thinking they wouldn't have made it there if they had him for the playoffs is just silly. With him in the lineup, they won every single game they played against the NFC that year.

What TO did the next year was beyond ridiculous (disbelief), but he was the best receiver in football in 2004.

I wouldn't exactly call him shaky. I think he gets a bad rap for that game. He still did some excellent things in that game (3 TD passes including a picture-perfect one to Westbrook threaded between 2 defenders). The Eagles blew that game in the 1st quarter when they turned the ball over twice (McNabb INT, LJ Smith fumble) in scoring position. They had the Pats on their heels and could've been up 21-0 at the end of the quarter. disbelief Can't really blame him for the INT at the end, but those 2 1st-quarter turnovers really killed the momentum.

And the Eagles haven't been the same since they lost that go-to wideout. It's no coincidence Donovan had his best season with T.O. The front office HAS to give him that big WR(without the diva attitude).

That, plus the poor clock management late in the fourth(probably due to McNabb being sick and not remembering the plays).

I'm a big defender of his, but I'm going to blame the poor clock management on Andy Reid. Along with failure to run the ball enough, it's been his biggest weakness as a coach. As for the getting sick thing, it's apparently just something about Jacksonville. The time they played down there against the Jags, he threw up on the field. neutral

I'd say injuries have played a bigger part, with McNabb missing significant time in every season since then. He was looking like the league MVP through the first 5 or 6 games in 2006.

Not to sound too much like Andy Reid, but I think the Eagles have the best receiving corps they've ever had by far. DeSean Jackson has shown a lot of big-play ability as a rookie (and he'll only get better), Kevin Curtis has proven to be a reliable starter, Jason Avant has really been doing damage out of the slot, and Reggie Brown has done some good things when he's been in the game. Keep in mind both Curtis and Brown (last year's starters) missed a ton of games this year.

Don't get me wrong -- I'd love Randy Moss (who they tried to get) or someone like that. However, I think this is the first time the Eagles don't need someone like that to be successful. They can see if DeSean becomes that type of player next year. The 2004 Eagles needed TO because the main receivers to that point were Todd Pinkston and James Thrash (and even worse before that: Charles Johnson and Torrance Small). Because Reid likes to spread the ball around, they have to be careful not to upset team chemistry (look that phrase up, Cowboy fans evillol). They can't afford to bring in some hotshot who could rip the team apart or shoot himself in the thigh (lurking).

But you still need the threat of that home-run hitter - changes the whole defense(look at NY without Plax). Like I said before, Anquan Boldin would be sweet. I don't think he's a diva.

My brother wants Philly to get a big back(like Brandon Jacobs, who's a free agent) to ease Westbrook's burden. Can you imagine Jacobs AND Westbrook? That would be devastating.

Oh, hell yeah! I'd been hoping to get Anquan in the offseason. Or Larry Fitzgerald... why's Arizona gotta hoard all the great WRs. Maybe they could trick Houston into giving up Andre Johnson? But like I said, I think Jackson has that potential.

Yeah, but they really just need to commit to running the ball. They don't even utilize Buckhalter enough. The Eagles haven't been really committed to running the ball since the days of Duce Staley.

Hell yeah they are the better team...their biggest problem is that the most important position on the team is a big fat question mark...WTF?

Romo has all off-season to gel with Roy Williams (who will be a force next year)
T.O. just wants to win...I'm right there with him. I like the guy, diva attitude and all, he produces. Witten is all-world. Barber is great, but his running style means he's gonna be hurt...they gave valuable minutes to Tashard Choice and Jones this year (they'll need them next year).
The DEF line and linebackers are great...that secondary needs help though (which they'll address during the draft)

Romo is the key...WTF does he think sometimes?
