I actually don't think they have any responsibility in telling us. If it bother's us, that means we're not completely over them, which probably means it's our problem, not their.

Mine never told me...I found out when he contacted me almost 10 yrs later, after his wife had passed on. I guess he thought the girls and I would sit around waiting for him.

I'm on good terms with all my exes.

The two that got married just straight up told me. I'm happy for one of them because he is really, truly happy....the other...well, he's not so...ya, what can I say?

Well, this is about my long term off and on boyfriend from 1996-2002. We actually dated from 1996-2000 straight but I broke up with him b/c he cheated on me. I remember seeing him and the girl holding hands on campus at my college and I cried my eyes out till they were swollen shut! It never stopped him from calling me and wanting to see me for years and I would allow it. Til one day, we were as we were like we were still dating but I found out they were still messing around so I confronted her and he came around the corner and he said that he hated me b/c he loved her. LOL! best thing I ever did, she was a whore anyway. So anyway, I told him to leave me alone but it seems like he kept me in his heart b/c he kept calling and seeing me over the next 2 years. He finally left me alone b/c I got pregnant for a guy I was seeing. After a year, I had another child and 20 days later, I went out for my birthday and he came to the club I was at to tell me that he was getting married. I was shocked b/c we were together for so many years and here he was marrying someone not even knowing them for a year. But I told him that was going to happen. Long story short, ever since, he finds me every year and contacts me. I must be still in his heart b/c he doesn't let a year go without him trying to find me. I didn't know if it was b/c he wanted to rub in my face what kind of lifestyle he has or if he really truely misses me. Anyway, about 6 months ago, he came to my job just wanting to see me and he had to quickly leave and I could feel that he wanted to just grab me and kiss and hold me. I'm married now and he sent me an e-mail asking if I got married yet and I told him yes and he never contacted me since LOL!
Anyway, my first marriage was not a real one in my eyes and for my first husband to know I got married again, it's just not his business. So I never told him.

We had been divorced about 1 1/2 years and I had moved back to CO. I was trying to reach him to ask for help buying something for one of the kids. Some woman would answer his phone and hang up on me. It happened 4 times. So I called his mother and asked her what was going on. If this was his girlfriend, please just tell her who I am. My ex finally called me, and said that was his WIFE and she was 7 months pregnant with his child.

She knew who I was, but I didn't know who she was. He wanted my kids to be excited about this new sibling they were about to have. It has been tense for years now. She feels very threatened by me for some reason. My husband now gets along with my ex fine though.

The only reason I'd expect my ex husband to tell me he is getting married is because we have small children together. Other than that I don't give a shit. If it weren't for the kids most likely we wouldn't talk at all. I'd rather it be that way. But, because of the kids I'll have to talk to him for a good long while now.
