On the seventh day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And an Eagle in an Alder tree

omg giggle

More than likely that he ate the partridge.
Watched the brute drown a poor little duck in the lake this morning before flying off with it. neutral

beautiful bald eagle! wow....where abouts are you to just have such a wonderful bird hanging out in the trees?
Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian, any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

Just moved here. It's a little lake about 50 miles north of Seattle. It's so cool. We have blue heron, bald eagles, cormorants, and even river otter!

so calm and swirling a girl calling
telling mother of this lovely discovery
swans so graceful it's amazing to be gazing
at such beauty a perfect image a perfect picture

Yay for you! I finally had enough of hauling supplies up and down the hill through the snow to the car via sled and just drove on down here last night, in yet another snow storm. It was a wild ride but I am confident that this heavy rain will melt the snow enough to get out of here soon. In the meantime I'm going to have a glass of wine and watch my boy hunt. biggrin

HAPPY NEW YEAR! hug

SWAN

Grace, Beauty, Power of Self

The Swan is one of the most powerful
and ancient of totems.

As you begin to realize your own true beauty,
you unfold the ability to bridge new realms and new powers.
Swan can show you how to access the inner beauty
within yourself and in others.

A Swan totem heralds a time of altered states of awareness
and the development of intuitive abilities.
Swan people have the ability to see the future,
and to accept the healing and transformation
that is beginning in their lives.
Accept your ability and go with the flow.
Stop denying you know who is calling when the phone rings.
Pay attention to your hunches and inner knowledge,
and Swan medicine will work through you.

The Swan's call teaches the mysteries of song and poetry,
for these touch the child and the beauty within.

EAGLE

Spirit, Healing, Creation

The eagle is symbol of the zenith.
A great reminder of your own ability to soar to great heights.

Eagles are messengers from heaven and are the embodiment of the spirit of the sun.

Those with an Eagle totem need to have an involvement with creation;
a willingness to experience extremes;
a willingness to use your ability
even if it means getting "scorched" a little as you fly high;
a willingness to seek out your true emotions.

A demanding totem, but one that offers so much reward at the end of the journey.

Its four-toed feet remind you to stay grounded even went soaring high;
Its talons remind you to grasp the things of the earth;
Its sharp beak shows you when to speak, how much, and how strongly.

This totem will show you opportunities and how to ride the winds to your benefit.
Eagle people can live in the realm of the spirit
yet still remain connected and balanced within the realm of the Earth.

You must become much more than you ever dreamed possible.

You sent me this before. I have it on the wall by my desk. biggrin
The eagle has been much more present in my life. It took this guy two weeks to find me here.
The swans were beauitiful but just hanging out for a few days until the storm passed.
Happy New Year Mach....to you and yours. hug
