I'm doing the opposite - I just booked flights to the north of Italy for next month. biggrin

I wish I could go to Italy. pout

As it is, I had to scrape and look for deals for months to find my ticket in the country.

Here's hoping prices go down next year.

I got sale fares. From here it's 10 euro each way including taxes. woot!

But with the price of oil tanking, I'm sure transatlantic fares willl drop soon.

That's an AMAZING deal! We never have anything remotely close to that here. All summer it was over $400 US just to go from here to Chicago. And I looked and waited for 3 months and finally found a ticket for $300 for this trip. I don't think I've paid over $230 for the same trip in the past, and even paying that much meant you couldn't find a good deal.

Luckily Ireland's the home of Ryanair, Europe's biggest budget airline. They charge extra for everything - check-in, bags, food etc. but if you have hand luggage only and get a sale fare, it's cheap as hell:http://www.ryanair.com/si...fares=more

comfort It'll be OK. And you don't want to leave the US before next month - so you can sing 'Ding dong the witch is dead' when Bush steps aside woot!

And I just checked AA.com - they're doing MSP-Chicago for $160ish total in March - fares must be coming down.

I would seriously consider wrapping up my seldom-seen, never-played saxophone and putting it under the tree for myself. Hell, who wouldn't like a saxophone for Christmas? I sure would!

I won't though, the kids would probably remember that as being batshit crazy lol
