The lead is a man who cannot undo his past, which haunts him and leads him on a path to ease his pain and try to make the world a better place than the world he destroyed. His own. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

One part I didn't understand.....
*Kinda a spoiler alert* Will Smith's character was not a real IRS guy, he was just impersonating one. But he kept going around telling people who had debts with the government that he would give 'em an extension. If he ain't a real IRS guy, he won't be able to come thru with that. Therefore, that isn't a very nice thing to do to people. What'd I miss?

Therefore, that isn't a very nice thing to do to people. What'd I miss? I think he was banking on the fact that he wouldn't be around much longer to where the IRS would actually call/contact them before he was able to do his good deeds onto them. OR He was just saying that and their debts weren't as big as he made them out to be. Remember, Rosario actually worked out her debt and it was considerably less than what he had told her, which was then when her suspicions were raised about who he was and what he was doing in her life. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

Netflix says
Distraught over his wife's death -- and convinced that his own actions had something to do with it -- a depressed IRS (Will Smith) agent begins plotting his suicide, vowing to improve the lives of seven strangers in the process. But a chance meeting with a woman who has a life-threatening heart defect (Rosario Dawson) threatens to derail his plans when, suddenly, their budding relationship feels a lot like love. So he's not donating organs? Under certain circumstances, urgent circumstances, desperate circumstances, profanity provides a relief denied even to prayer.

I can't remember if it was on wikipedia or what, but it's true, then for the sake of y'know... *a spoiler alert* an' all, don't read this post.

Lammastide said: Not that I consider them the final word, but the critics are generally panning this film. For those of you who didn't like it, why not? Is the plot just too depressing, when you expected a feel-good movie? Is the story implausible? Is the directing or acting poor? What's wrong with it?

Half of what makes the movie great is not knowing the plot. It keeps the mind wondering throughout the movie.. if you konw this much already.. fuck it.. it's not worth your time. It's a great movie, but part of what is great is the element of surprise in the movie.

Why in the WORLD would anyone want to see depressing movies like "Seven Pounds" and "Marley and Me" during the H.O.L.I.D.A.Y.S.?
Idiots. Luckily, I am writing a screenplay that will fix all this. . [Edited 12/28/08 16:33pm]

However, jaden, their son, was pretty good in The Day The Earth Stood Still. Yeah I know that calamity Some movies should be LEFT alone, dammit I truly hope nobody fucks around and think about remaking All About Eve that will destroy me I watched this over the weekend. I REFUSE to even waste my time on the remake. Hollywood has TRULY run out of original ideas.

MuthaFunka said: Just saw it. It's surely a chick-flick masquerading as follow-me-to-the-end-of-the-movie flick. Not really impressed. Will is kinda boring in it and it took too long to "get going". The extreme close-ups started to get on my nerve as well. The ending was kinda over-the-top with the whole "aquatic" angle. It would have been better as a Tv movie, maybe Oxygen or Lifetime.
Here's the question that everyone wants to know.... Did Rosario look good? "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
