I just upgraded my computer; I'm so psyched! My computer died on me last week just a few days before Christmas, and I thought I'd have to buy an entire new computer I could not afford. But, as it turned out, the reason my computer was running like a piece of crap and died on me was because the inside of it was caked with dust. I ended up buying a used computer with a faster processor from someone on Craigslist, but I did a thorough cleanup of my old computer and blew out and vacuumed out all of the dust, reassembled some of the motherboard connectors, and I got it to work again. So now I have two working computers.
I went to the computer store today to get an external drive and some RAM memory for both of my computers (especially since they had a huge after-Xmas sale), and after backing up my files (documents, apps, music, ebooks, videos, porn) to the new 500 GB hard drive I just purchased and installing the additional RAM memory, my computer is working much better now. I would recommend doing some maintenance to your own computer, cleaning out all of the unused files, removing spyware, and backing up all of your important files, and installing additional RAM, hard drive space, and/or an upgraded DVD drive before investing in some brand new computer with Vista that will crash all too often. | |
