Well #1, if you didn't want to continue giving to her kids, then why did you start? I don't believe you gave from the heart because now you saying how its not your responsiblity to buy things for her kids and blah blah blah. And why would you give to just one child and not the other two? That wasn't right at all. You opened a can of worms and now you can't get them to stop flowing. You created the problem.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I understand what you are saying. Just because you were nice enough to buy her son something she thinks she can take advantage og of you and constantly ask for other things. I think she trying to take advantage of your kindness and that's not right. If she keeps asking just tell her you don't have it to give at the moment.

It is good etiquette to not favor one child over the others... it causes envy and fights among the children, the one who received the gift may feel guilt for having gotten it as well. It is better to give a gift which all children in a family will be able to share and enjoy.

It also sounds like you are very passive aggressive and have a hard time saying no. Seems like you made a few promises you can not intend to keep despite good intension. If this person is having a conversation with you and walks away thinking that you will give them more at a later date, it is up to you not to allow that conversation to had in the first place. Nip that shit in the bud and don't offer help if you can not follow through. People don't usually expect things unless they are offered. I think you gave her an inch and she ran with it. You enable someone to take advantage of you. Tell her the truth, and be straight forward so she understands. No need to have bad feelings towards her or her life choices, if you can not help her in that way, then tell her that.

When a person gives something to someone it should be given freely, without expecting anything in return. Some people don't have a lot of money or unable to give material possessions, but they give of themselves by being a loyal friend. Perhaps they are there to listen to you, offer advice or guide you at times.

It was very kind of you to buy the dirt bike for the child. I just hope you don't have expectations of receiving in return. As for your friend, hopefully she showed her appreciation and thanked you. On the other hand she shouldn't continue to ask you to buy her children items. You may have to talk to her and politely tell her that you are not in a position to continue to do this. Keep an open heart, and continue to be kind.

If you're not English, what is your first language?

If you don't like the way she's bugging you for shit, get a new friend.

That doesn't sound like a friend...sounds like a freeloader. If she really is your "friend" you should be able to talk to her about it.
