Ottensen said: I drink mostly loose tea. Lots of Sencha from Japan (it's a vibrant green and incredibly mild), and then sometimes Chinese Oolong.
When I'm sick, I make tea from linden leaves & flowers, so it can cause me to sweat, break fevers, and rid my body of toxins. The leaves and flowers are mildly sweet, so no honey is needed. For bagged tea, in my pantry I keep standard German favorites, like chamomile, peppermint, and hibiscus. Otherwise I like to sip on white tea with ginger inside, or a ginko-lemongrass hybrid. [Edited 12/18/08 23:55pm] Hibiscus tea sounds lovely. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

thats the brand i use minus the peach. I buy the giant organic box. they come in packages of 4 tea bags. And they dont have metal staples in them and the string tags pull out easily. That way i can use the left over tea bags for other things like my eyes or rubbing them on my face. I open two packet of four and place them in my ice tea maker and make a pitcher of hot or cold tea, depending on how i feel.

Caffeine-free and made with licorice root and peppermint, neither of which are flavors I like on their own, but dammit that tea is addictive like liquid crack. It's expensive, though, too -- $24 US for a 4 oz container. That's too much for that. There has to be an equivilent at a whole foods health store near you for half that price. It's freaking LEAVES, for goodness sakes. Do you know what the exotic leaf is inside? You mentioned peppermint & licorice, but what is the base tea? Green, white, rooibos?

From the label: Ingredients: Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza Glabra), Peppermint (Mentha Piperita) Leaves, Flavor (Parfum) So I guess maybe the main leaves are the peppermint? Maybe it's not even real tea if there are no tea leave it in!

Some teas I prefer by themselves, like a darjeeling. Otherwise, I like black teas with baked sweets. I had this great white tea once that I positively LOVED to have with just a splash of milk and then I'd dip ginger snaps in it. After a couple of snaps the tea was a perfect milky sweet spicy ginger heaven. Not to mention a good roobois tea with some ginger and milk -- smokey tea goodness.
