I LOOOOOVED him in Sphere.
He was exactly how I would have imagined the character in the book personality wise.
Too bad the movie wasn't well received.

Though I'm no fan of Terrintino (too violent), Sam's speech at the end of the movie is really fun to watch.

Lucas wasted him completely as Mace Windu in Star Wars. Then again, Lucas has some really really top rated actors/actresses that ended up fumbling through stupid lines and ruining the entire thing.

Sam's the kind of actor who can really pull it together, but his movies are only as good as the directors and plot.

My favorite Sam Jackson 'performance' ever is when he introduces all George Clinton and some of the funk acts during the 2004 grammys. That shit was hot. lol

I missed that about The Spirit. Save yourself. Stay home and punch yourself in the nuts for 2 hours.

I fell in love with that fool in School Dayz and Jungle Fever. But he became my muthafucka in Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown, which are a testament to Tarantino's vivid writing IMO. He's one of the few celebs I've actually enjoyed kickin' it with cuz he's a fool, unpretentious and brilliant. mushy

I loved him in Sphere also. I thought the book's character was made for Jackson. The Long Kiss Goodnight is one of my favorites. I also loved him and Spacy in The Negotiator. Anyone remember him as Minister Garth in Def by Temptation?? razz boxed

And tell me he wasn't great in A Time to Kill!! With Spacy again...
