Beanie Babies

Anyone else get into these things? When they were popular,I used to walk by them, and not be able to figure out what the draw was. I am currently an owner of 86 of these damn things, and I am trying to figure out how to Ebay them without having to do each one separately. I don't want to sell tham as one whole group, because I don't think anyone would buy them like that since they are not that popular anymore. nuts

I still have a few from when I was younger. The first one I got was this little piggy. He was so cute.....had to have him. I hadn't seen beanie babies in ages.....except for this one breast cancer one in Walgreens.

Yeah, I don't know why they were so popular.
I was working at McDonalds when they had the teenie beenie babies and it was a madhouse sometimes with the collectors.
I have a couple of those sets which I want to get rid of, probably through e-bay one of these days.

Beanie babies...there was once a lady in our office who had a serious obsession with them! She had an estimated 200 or so in her office!!! This is a law office, very upscale, major clients walking in and out all day long. She started out with the typical few, and added one or two per day! She had them everywhere imaginable. confused My boss, adored this lady..she had been a secretary here for about 11 years. His solution was to buy a cabinet for her to put them in, and then he made sure that it was pointed away from the main stream of office traffic. falloff

I know I am of no help to your question, but damn if it didn't bring home memories. wink

i knew this guy who was old and had amassed a collection of virtually priceless decorative arts and antiques over his life time, such as fine 5ft porcelain clocks stolen from castles in germany, gull wing mercedes, etc. His wife died.
Along came a new wife who insisted that he sell everything and invest in beanie babies. dumb asses. a year later she divorced him.

No,I think they are newer ones, but I don't keep up on which ones are new anymoe so... what's really sick is that if I see one that has a cute design to it,I have the urge to buy it. lol disbelief

My mom used to collect those. She and I would spend lots of time and money searching for her collection. Now she sells them every year at the garage sale for $3 each. She keeps her holiday beanies though.

I have two angel bears. I think one of the bears is called Halo or some shit like that. One has silver wings and the other has gold. I collect angels, that's the only reason I have the bears.

when i was telling you about how my sister in law last i knew was still collecting them she was working in a huge hall mark store in tampa fla. so i guess they do sell them at places like that. I bet you could still definetly sell them on ebay or which ever place now. good luck.
