What are some good job search engines?
Any smaller/medium size companies you'd recommend?

Bare in mind: white collar worker here.

Most of the ones I use are specific to Ireland, so not much use to you. I do use the Irish version of monster, which is international, and quite good. Link here.

Not sure what it's like where you are, but here the best sites are often those of the recruitment agencies.

Also, local and national newspapers often have jobs pages on their websites, might be worth a look.

In my experience, you're better off choosing a couple of good ones and sticking with them. Looking at endless job sites just brings you in circles - the employers advertise to the agencies who in turn advertise on other job search sites, so you end up seeing the same jobs over and over again.

I'm not even sure where you are. Hong Kong? Singapore? So can't really recommend any smaller/medium companies.

I know they're huge companies, but both IBM and Microsoft are good employers, and always recruiting too.

If you'd asked even 2 months ago, I could have put in a reference for you where I work, as it is we've got NOTHING open right now. Our job postings went from pages of lisitngs to 5 lonely jobs in that time. It's CRAZY!

Good search sites- Start with Craigslist. You can also post your resume there.
For posting your resume I suggest removing the contact info and publish the rest. An interested employer can then contact you anonymously to ask for you to apply for a job.

Also try your local paper online. Industry magazines or sites; also sometimes carry want ads that are industry specific.

Look daily and often. My goal has generally been sending out 5 resumes a day.
The later in the day, the more fanciful the jobs I sent responses to.

Keep looking and stay ready for an interview. Hope you find something soon.
