That's not important right now.
When are we going to get to meet so this myspace no-friend bullshit can end.

razz

What's your itinerary the next few months? And when we do meet, it has to be in a public place with lots of other people so I feel safe.

You're in detroit so we'd have to throw Nathan and Adrea into the mix.
Andrea and I start giggling like schoolgirls after only 2 minutes though.

I'm not a MySpace pimp like that. I made exceptions in an extremely small number of cases (not PLENTY) because we had already conversed privately to a point where I felt the same effect had been achieved as if I had met them--which was that I ascertained they weren't weirdos.

Of course that means I could meet Dan one day and still not be MySpace friends with him afterward. razz

I don't live in Detroit, I only visit occasionally. But adding Andrea and Nathan to the mix is a must if we were to meet there.

Quite a few and a few new additions this year. I might right a book hmmm

1. 'Kramer' from Seinfield recently lost his temper and repeatedly called an audience member the N word at his comedy show

2. Amy Winehouse got wasted and sang a very racist song that dehumanised black, South Asian, East Asian and Central Asian People

3. Cheryl Tweedy from British pop girl band Girls Aloud racially abused a Nigerian toilet attendant in a London night Club

4. Mel Gibson blamed Jewish people for all the wars and misery on earth

I bet I can think of more.. smile

I once got an email from someone stating that we shouldn't buy any of Tommy Hilfigers clothes because he had said that he did not want black people to wear his clothes.

I wondered if that was true because I've seen lots of colored celebrities wearing his clothes.

First of all, "colored" you do know it's 2008 almost 2009 right?

Secondly, that was an urban legend. He never said this and in fact got his start as a designer working with many black celebs in the 70s including Earth, Wind and Fire.

Beginning in 1997, Hilfiger was subject to a vicious e-mail and word-of-mouth rumor claiming he made racist statements on The Oprah Winfrey Show saying he wished certain minorities would not wear his clothes.[7] This was nothing more than a hoax because not only did both Hilfiger and Oprah deny this ever happened, but up to that point Hilfiger was never a guest on her show. Eventually in 2007, Hilfiger appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show specifically to address the rumor.[8] Despite the allegation being completely untrue, it remains an e-mail rumor.

The n-word has turned up on Prince recordings way before 1992.

when hmm

He used it on the black album in 87. But the context of it's usage was different (the white police voice in Bob George).

In one way, yes....I don't know the guy, never met him and never talked to him. Heck, I had never seen his face for a long time to know whether he was black or white, his hair & hat always covered his face completely....
In another way, if he was so aware of him being black and was proud of it (as he can), he would never have recorded this song when Axl delivered the lyrics. Slash & Axl have fussed about issues that were way less important than this.....

Much 2 learn y'all do have

Basically Prince's sway towards hiphop culture and trying 2 rap was quite an embarassing cringe worthy episode 2 behold...almost as embarassing as u lot trying 2 defend a man who has never embraced the black race until it became cool 2 do so lol

First of all, are you black? If you're not, I seriously doubt you can teach me anything about being black. Obviously, you're the one that has a lot to learn because:

1. Ain't nobody debatin' that Prince looks and sounds a fool trynta rap.

2. My point is that "nigga, please" is not a phrase that's exclusive to hip-hop and has in fact been in use in black culture for probably 100 years.

3. Although it may be offensive to YOU, it's impossible for the phrase to be racist when used by a black man.

And since you said that wack shit 4. It's ridiculous for you to say that Prince embraced his "black race" when it became cool cuz anyone who's been listening to his music KNOWS different. double-rolleyes You're obviously seeing what you wanna see when it comes to P so I ain't got nothin' left to say to ya on this topic. peace!

Well Prince wasn't exactly singing 'the roof, the roof, the roof is on fire' in this muthafuka was he lol lol

Elvis Costello - Called James Brown and Ray Charles the n-word while drunk having a conversation with another artist. He later said he was purposely being outrageous at the time and didn't mean it.

Eric Clapton - Supposedly told a crowd at a concert to "keep Britain white" and support Conservative minister Enoch Powell who was anti-immagration.

Siouxsie and The Banshees - Siouxsie wore swastika armbands at early punk shows for shock value. The band later recorded their hit song "Israel" as a kind of apology and to turn away the slowly growing number of neo-nazis at their gigs.

Heard about the other two, but this is my first time hearing about Eric Clapton. Hope it's just a rumor.

That's because it made him money. Fuck Eric Clapton. Hendrix owns his ass anyway.

As for racist celebs, how about Nikki Sixx making racial slurs to a black security guard during a Motley Crue concert. He encouraged the crowd to "beat this n****r's ass". That guard should have jumped on stage and fucked Sixx up. Dumbass Vanity, WTF was she thinking, dating this loser?

And remember the remarks Lleyton Hewitt made during a match with James Blake? Blake, being the pussy that he is, tried to play it off.
