Casual chic. So I will just wear fancy dark blue jeans, neat shoes and a shirt with a tie.

I would rather have my balls lit on fire than go out on New Year's Eve.

I will be going to a party at a friend's place. Not sure what to expect but I'm guessing a good mix of casual and super fun.

Last year I stayed home and watched Buffy on dvd. By choice, though, and I had a lovely time.

1sexymf! woot!

Not one for parties, period, anymore. shrug Seems to me they generally involve having to leave your domicile in order to make small talk with a bunch of people (most of whom you probably wouldn't want to talk to for extended periods of time) that may very well be drunk and/or high. As an added bonus, it is apparently mandatory for the hosts to play loud music.

If I stay at home, I can talk to whomever I choose (without having to strain over said loud music), eat whatever I like in a reclining position at a room temperature of my choosing, look at whatever I like on TV or on the Internet, and I don't have to schlep my tired ass across town.

I'll take Door# 2! razz

I did that 2 years ago. It was crowded, but lots of good music.

I havent been out for new years eve in a few years because I used to think the same thing (kind). Its more of a safety issue.

Im going out with my mom to a club about 5 miles from our house.
We will taxi to and from the club.

We should be okay smile

U open up ur eyes and come 2 realize
u simply imagined this
So u lean over and give her a kiss
Here on earth, here on earth,
with u it's not so bad
Here on earth, here on earth
eye don't feel so sad
Stay right here

I stay in, I have issues going out on New years Eve. I have a gathering of close friends and family, who come over for a nice dinner and we keep it low key. I use it as a moment to reflect the past year, and pray for the best for the coming year. Dinner, drinks and family and friends at home. party

Well last New Year's was just plain bad and it wasn't by choice. If I choose to be home and do nothing then I'd be fine with it too. I like my own company just fine!
