When I went to bed last night, I thought a lot about it, wondering how helpless you are against the forces of nature that might destroy you on a whim. It's those Swedes and their stupid nuclear power plants that's destroying the earth, I'm sure! [Edited 12/17/08 7:26am] Don't get me wrong! I totally understand your plight. My wife, who is German, was terrified when she felt her first quake. Miguel, Ehuffnsd and I are a bit jaded, California is always rockin' so we don't sweat the small stuff... I took active part in the Loma Prieta quake of '89 (S&R) and it was devastating (http://en.wikipedia.org/w...earthquake) but after that I just take it all in stride... Stay safe! The Loma Prieta earthquake was the scariest thing ever. My close cousin and uncle were at Candlestick Park. My boyfriend at the time was right underneath the Marriott Hotel in San Francisco. Yeah, that building is pretty much all glass. He commuted on the train so he didn't get home until 3am. The earthquake was at 5:11 or something like that. I was in South San Jose. We lost power. The whole city looked really scary. MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop!
