I have seen many a ice storm...the generator thing is a popular item here in Northern Mi. Sorry for all the grief and hope the power is back up and runnin for you guys soon.. Glad some of us Michiganders can help you out as well... Take care and keep warm as you can... and a keep warm.... We are tough in Michigan, but tonight is 9 times already since Thanksgiving I've had to drive the 32 miles from work up North along the Lake Huron in ice and snow but nothing nearly as bad as what you are facing, Shorty. Stay safe ~ keeping warm is the hardest without power. It's gonna be a long Winter (and it's not even officially here yet). Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife. --Kahlil Gibran

Thank god you have a wood stove and generator! We cannot find my Aunt...have no idea where she is staying or what's going on. Luckily I'm 2 hours south of where you are but we are getting snow this Friday.
Stay safe and warm! | |

[Edited 12/17/08 13:14pm] ofcourse I did! I was originally going to do deli sandwiches...then I came up with this lasagna idea (b4 we lost power) because it would be cheaper and I could have my 3 sister-in-laws bring the salad, bread and dessert. But now you just made me want a pastromi and swiss sandwich for lunch! I think it will be ok. We might be able to get our stove working after all. I'm supposed to be doing all my christmas baking this week too! Grrr! God I hope the power comes on today...the 7th day with out it! "not a fan" yeah...ok

We're getting the 10" of snow now ~ it's miserable but at least we still have power. It's drifting my doors shut. I hate this. Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife. --Kahlil Gibran
