I'm thinking I might "press" shapes into the cookies rather than cutting all the way through to keep the candy from sticking to the pan. That may affect the melting of the candy though. It will be an experiment.

Cool let me know

I sometimes lay them ontop foil with a bit of grease on them - that helps the sticking

I mull wine every year!

I think I may follow an actual recipe this year, though. lol I usually just throw a bunch of spices I like in and hope for the best. This year I think I'll try something specific...

This is the one I was looking at:

Orange Anise Mulled Wine
2 bottles Shiraz
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 stick cinnamon
3 star anise
1 tsp whole cloves
1 orange
Orange peel strips

Remove the orange peel using a vegetable peeler. Cut peel into strips. Squeeze juice from orange; discard seeds and pulp. In a 5-quart crockery cooker combine orange juice, wine, and brown sugar.

For spice bag, tie the orange peel, cinnamon, star anise, and whole cloves in a cheesecloth bag. Add to crockery cooker. Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 6 hours to simmer in flavors. Serve in punch cups. Delicious!!

We are going to make these for our holiday dinner.

Ingredients
• 455g best-quality cooking chocolate (70% cocoa solids)
• 50ml hot espresso or good strong instant coffee
• 125g butter, plus extra for greasing
• 6 eggs, free-range or organic, separated
• 200g caster sugar
• 100g ground almonds
• 100g rice flour
• 1 small handful chopped hazelnuts, toasted

baked chocolate pudding
This pudding is chocolate heaven! The original recipe idea for it came from my mate Ben, the head chef at Monte's. I've changed it round a bit to make it easier to make at home.

Melt 125g chocolate with the coffee, then pour into small ice-cube moulds and freeze until hard. Take 6 small 3 inch pastry rings, dariole moulds or cappuccino cups and grease well with some butter. Place in the fridge while you make your sponge mixture. Melt the remaining chocolate with the butter in a bowl over a pan of boiling water, then in a separate bowl whisk the egg whites with the sugar until firm. Fold the yolks into the cooled chocolate and butter mixture, then add the almonds and flour. Finish by carefully folding in the egg white mixture. Preheat the oven to 190ºC/375ºF/gas 5. Take your moulds out of the fridge and spoon a little mixture into each one, then push in a cube of the frozen coffee and chocolate mixture. Cover with the rest of the sponge mixture so each ice cube is completely enveloped. Bake in the preheated oven for about 18–20 minutes, then remove carefully from the moulds while hot. Serve immediately sprinkled with hazelnuts.

I love Jamie Oliver fallinluv

Yum, this looks good!! I hope you enjoy it. smile

Heres a recipe. Im not sure if its the exact same as my aunt's.

1 1/2 cup sugar
4 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
dash of nutmeg (optional)
unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Mix sugar and flour together until fine. Add cooled butter, beaten eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, and nutmeg if desired. Mix and pour into pie shell. Bake 10 minutes at 425 degrees F.; turn temperature down to 350 degrees F. and continue to bake until the pie sets, about 40 minutes. Cool on rack; do not cut while hot.

Well, I made the dough, but then the adult bookstore didn't have any erotic cookie cutters, so I'll have to get something tomorrow. I was looking forward to candy filled boobs and penises shooting multi colored candy jizz.
