I hate these over the top gay movies (like Jeffrey) made for the gay market, but I also hate gay movies made by the straight market where gays always have to die at the end (like Independence Day, where they killed off Harvey Fierstein) . Even if Milk's based on real life.

Of course, I will make a exception for this one. Cuz there are just too many good names involved AND Milk was, of course, a hero.

sean penn is really great in this, i think he could win best male lead in the academy awards for this

also checkout frost and nixon, and both of clint eastwoods recent movies, the changeling and grand torino, the guy is in his 80s and still creating excellent works of a high standard

Sounds like a great movie.... I have no idea when it's coming over here... Prob not until february..

actually it's 13th march. there is no offical release date for the dvd in any country as yet, but it's likely to be released on R1 dvd in the states before then, unless they intentionally delay the release so they can plaster academy awards crap all over the artwork
