If I Was In Charge If I was in charge, these top ten things would be on my short list to correct/implement. Please create your own list (and do not write I would make all dumb lists, cuz I'll find you, hunt you down and make you wear pink bunny slippers to the rodeo.)
----- a) The real estate market would be forced into terms that would prevent them from making excessive amounts of money for little money up front in exchange. This would later be applied to the goods and services industry. With children in Africa dying of starvation, AIDS, and people dying from ethnic cleansing, I see no just reason for a person to make $100K (or higher) when “flipping a house." b) “Stupidity crimes” would be enforceable and punishable, similar to how hate crimes are handled. c) Just as real estate agents and brokers have to get licenses to operate, so should stockholders have to have a purchasing license. d) All stoplights would have “do not back up” treadmarks, so as to force people to learn to stop behind the white lines. e) Anyone who chooses to blare music from their car stereo so loud that it makes their whole car vibrate would lose their driver’s license. f) All couples getting married or having children would have to go to school and get a license that states they are ready and able. g) Doctors would be required to wait until a child is five years old, before its gender/sex is determined. i) News/media outlets would not be allowed to advertise for “spook stories” (stories advertised on Monday that begin with phrases like “it’s loaded with toxins and it could be in your refrigerator. See what could be poisoning you this Friday on Channel X!”) j) People who have excessive unpaid parking tickets would, instead of going to pay a fine, have their driver’s license and checking account linked, and every time a fine or ticket fee is levied, it would be automatically be deducted. k) Paparazzi would be booted, similar to the way a car gets booted for the driver not paying parking tickets. | |

My # 1 rule would be NOT to allow someone to make blanket rules that cover all people, based on that persons limited expereince with a few people | |

If I was in charge..
1. there would be no homelessness - if they can throw billions to 'other rich people' - they can throw a few billion to stop homelessness 2. home owners who NEED help would receive it.. not those trying to keep up with the Jones' and are wasting their money | |

That would be all good and well if I was doing it, but speaking of the example of the "do not cross" treadmarks at corners, for example, for as long as I can remember, pedestrians have had to watch very carefully and assert themselves against maniacs in cars. And the others are just the same.

your point, Aesop? If you're trying to say that these rules would cause liberty to die, that's a) overdramatic and b) not very well thought out.

I understand your frustration and I feel for you but it's all a little draconian, don't you think?
I would love nothing more for stupid people to be pilloried in the public square but who decides what constitutes stupid? It's a slippery slope and makes for unhealthy precedent. A working class Hero is something to be ~ Lennon |
