A ? about Safari for my MAC

Whenever I start my mac up, Safari AUTOMATICALLY starts with it> It is my default browser, cuz it's a good browser, but I don't always want it to automatically start whenever I log into my 'puter...wait...'puter it TOO geeky...log into my computer(that sounds better...lol). I remeber somewhere, there being an option to have apps on auto start or not, or I could just be dreaming.

H E L P please!!!!

Find the Safari icon on your dock. click the icon but hold it down until you see the menu appear. Deselect the "Open on login" option.

That motherfucker will not start up next time.

You know, I sound like a crazy MAC-head, but this is my first mac.
All I can say is that most things on a mac are just easy to do. Brilliant even.

I SWEAR by Mac....xcept for the economics. Not sure yet if the $ is justified by the ease of use. If it isn't justified by the ease of use, it's gotta be justified by the security and stability of the software. And NO, u DON'T sound like a crazy MAC-head.

screen caps, history removal, cache adjustments...it's not just dummy stuff that's easy to do. EVERYTHING is easy to do on a mac. I think it's cuz they focus on making things easy to do on a mac. They DON'T focus on giving U ten million ways to do something, hoping that one of them is easy(which seems to be the way of windows. On a Mac, if there's 10 million ways to do something, cool, but u know FOR SURE that there's at least 1 VERY EASY way to do something.

I think a lot of times it's hard for people who switch from Windows, because they're used to having to figure out the hard way. I tell people, take a deep breath and go to your happy place and think about how it SHOULD be done. And then try doing it that way. Usually, it will work! biggrin
