i think my jack russel might not agree but i think i'm ready
for a pet piggie. they're so adorable. and smart. i want one
of those that stay as small or even smaller than this one in
the clip.

My supervisor in the Military owned one.
They have ALOT of personality, and are great "lap" dogs.
They like attention, affection, and are hilarious.


He used to play this little trick, where he would hide in the kitchen pantree and shake the bag of food that the pig ate.

The pig, knowing the sound would run into the kitchen, look around. Get confused and walk out of the kitchen.

Then he'd shake the food again, while hiding in the kitchen pantree, and the pig would dash back into the kitchen again hoping to see him holding food. Then confused the pig would walk back out.

This would go on for a few minutes until he finally popped out of the kitchen yelling "gotcha!!!"
The pig would squeel and dash out of the room.

the best part is fcuz if you have enough time and patience and
you can teach the pig lots of stuff. not just tricks but also
useful stuff like fetching your slippers or making a cup of tea

i'm not sure. the trouble is, if they report you and the rules are being
stuck to stricktly they might force you to get rid of your piggy again.
and that would be much worse than not getting one in the first place.

but if you can get away with it, i'd say go for it. if you have carpets
your downstairs neighbours will never know. although carpets might be a
negative until the pig is a bit housebroken, lol.

i'd also check out just how much noise a squeeling mini-pig can make in
your home when hungry and waiting for you to come home.

i think the only animal i can really get right now will
be one of the japanese rice and curry hippo's in a bath

they're cute though who would want to eat that tho

once he's gone on his walk, had his playtime and his food he
will jump into his bed and start nudging and digging like he
is hot on the tail of a ferret or something. then he growls

the time and is very quiet and relaxed indoors, he will still
explode with energy as soon as you take him outside. no matter

i've got a lifetime membership at a nearby zoopark where they
have all this european wildlife like boars, wolves, lynx and
stuff like otters and raccoons in a huge forrest area with a
nice mapped out trajectory where you can walk for hours and u
run into some animals every now and then.

well, whenever we go, joris insists on watching every single
goddamned animal in the bloody zoo. he walks up to every fence
and just stares at the animals until they come closer and then
he licks them or sniffs them. they all know him by now. even
the lynx came to sniff him, lol.

the otters always act like they want to break out when they
see him. i wish they could run around together sometime. the
only animal in the zoo that hates him is the fox. whenever
we get close the fox hisses like a fire hidren

but what i wanted to say is that after six hours at the zoo,
me being closer to death than anything, joris is still going
strong, ears pricked up, tail wagging. it's astounding.

anyway, joris isn't much of a hunter anyway. he sometimes
chased wild animals but once he caught up with a pheasant or
some such bird.

the bird just sat down and kept still. joris sniffed it and
then he just rolled over and played dead, legs in the air.

i had to go get him

a few months ago he went after a weasel near my uncle's cabin
i think he caught up with it and after a minute he came back,
tale curled down, looking very scared and he wanted nothing
but to get in the car and not get out anymore

When I was in my early twenties I shared a house with my sister who had this huge thing about pigs so I bought her 2 vietnamese pot bellied pigs for her birthday!!

They were absolutely adorable, but when we got places of our own neither of us had room for them so they went to a local urban zoo..

Still miss them..

when you get anything that lives longer than 2 years or so. that's
the main reason i always shy away from getting another animal since
i've already got my dog and it's a lot of time/devotion if you want
to do it right.
