Give me a list of teams who are desperate for a QB.

USFL is coming back 2010 so that is also an option for Vick if things don't work out.

Probably the CFL. | |

Some team will take him. Sports fans tend to forget pretty fast in this country. A couple of PSAs against dogfighting to smooth shit out, and he'll be back in the fold. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

I gotta go with Rodeo and KP on this one....CFL or USFL for starters...and if he comes back ballin' like he was before his sentence, then back in the NFL...maybe in Oakland (since J-marc Russ doesn't seem to be getting mentored correctly)...or DEE-troit.... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

Probably the damn Cowboys...Romo needs a back-up and Jerry Jones will not be satisfied until he has every nutball in the league on the payroll. All good things they say never last...

Was about to say the same thing. Any team serious about getting into contention wish QB issues will grab him up. And should. If Ray Lewis is allowed to play in the NFL why shouldn't Vick?

Unfortunately, that is a possibility. I knew JeMarcus wouldn't work out when they drafted him-- he would fit better on an east-coast, cold-weather running type team. Al would probably entertain the idea of bringing in Vick. He and Jerry Jones. My gut feeling is that he won't be back though.

First of all, he will not play in the NFL next season. Even if he gets out of jail in the spring for good behavior as expected, the NFL will suspend him indefinitely the same way they suspended Pacman Jones and require him to request reinstatement. which most likely would not happen for a least a year. So the earliest I see him returning to the NFL would be 2010.
Second, even if he does play football somewhere, whether it be the CFL, the new USFL, or arena ball (AFL), he will need a significant amount of time to get into football shape, because he would not have played any football in two years. And as of now, the Atlanta Falcons still own his rights, but they will wait for the NFL suspension to sue him for the signing bonuses they gave him before unconditionally releasing him from the roster.

No way he ends up in Oakland for one reason - Al loves the downfield pass. Vick doesn't do that. Plus, JaMarcus is still learning the game. It ain't his fault he doesn't have consistency in coaching and he doesn't have WRs. KR will be ok. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

Not necessarily. None of know what kinda shape he's in. If he's in decent-to-good shape, he wouldn't need "significant" time to get back into football shape. He would just need a full training camp to sharpen up his skills and timing. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

If he hasn't learned how to read defenses, he won't last long anyway.

If he hasn't learned how to read defenses, he won't last long anyway. He can read Ds, his issue is passing. Dude just isn't accurate and his mechanics are shaky, so he relies on his legs and that shit won't cut it in the pros. Ya gotta be able to throw downfield to win titles. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

His former coach at Atlanta, Jim Mora jr has been on the
Seattle staff for the last two seasons. He is going to be the head coach of the Seahawks next season. But they would never bring him in because of the scandal.

Oh I agree totally...but because Al Davis has no interest is keeping a coaching staff long enough to build consistency, my bet is that JR will flee the west coast when his contract is up.... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

I think it's such a tragedy that he got in the trouble he did. I personally would give him a second chance to redeem his career. This has cost him plenty. I feel bad for Micheal Vick. You know what I'm gonna say he's gonna end up in the USFL. I think the USFL will pay him some big bucks to play for them. I don't think CFL or ARENA could lure Vick, but who knows. Should be interesting when he gets out and everybody at ESPN will debate this to death.
