This scene in Dumbo absolutely tears me to pieces redface

It's the scene that takes place after Dumbo's normally timid mother loses her damned mind trying to protect him from everyone. She gets locked up and shackled.
This is the scene after that.

I TOTALLY BREAKS MY HEART redface lol

possibly more than movies that aren't animated eek

i think it's probably that [whatever event] seems all the more tragic because the characters are cute and childlike. or some such thing. whatever it is, it's terribly embarrassing.

The Lion King, Bambi, and Dumbo always bug the shit out of me. disbelief

Yes.

This part of the movie is so difficult for me to watch. It's really heartbreaking.

I also cried at Lilo and Stitch both times I watched it in the theater.

OMG DAN! So...my dad takes me and my cousins to watch DUMBO when I was like 6 or 7. I remember before the actual movie there was a 15 minute short called LOBO, it's about real life wolves. It's sad blah blah blah, I start to weep. My cousin's were both laughing at me. THEN Dumbo started. I was devastated. My dad comforted me while my two cousins laughed their asses off.

TO THIS DAY, I HAVEN'T LIVED IT DOWN!!!!!I'M REMINDED EVERYTIME WE GET TOGETHER.

I don't knoe if it has to do with that but I can't watch any of the animated films without sobbing uncontrolably. Obviously there has to be a sad theme, I don't just burst into tears when I see a Disney trailer.

Monsters Inc bawl

Where Boo has to go back home and she starts showing Sully all her toys, then when he leaves through the door she just runs up and opens it and he's gone.

Then at the end when he recreates the door, steps in and you hear "Kitty!" and he gets this huge smile on his face.
