Twitchy eyelid.

My right eyelid has been twitching on and off for about 3 or 4 days now. When it's happening, it's really annoying, and occasionally my eye waters up.

Anyone have this happen to them? Anyone know what it means? Stress? Nicotine? Caffeine? Alcohol? Stroke?

I'm not worried about it. Yet. But whenever it goes away and comes back, I start to wonder what's going on.

Actually, I can only speak for myself. Somewhere in my 30's I developed an occasional watery eye. It was weird, just my right one... then I realized it was happening in spring and fall... now I get a bit of a twitchy eyelid here and there. I thought it was caffeine initially but my allergies are strong enough, I see the pattern now.

Just my 2 cents.

Hamster, are you talking to people about me?

Used to have this, too. Definitely stress.

Indeed! I was shocked to learn that allergies can develop at any time in your life.

Botox nod

...Either that or get someone to hit you in the other eye...

...being hit in the other eye won't actually make your eye stop twitching, but it will divert your attention from it biggrin

OH MY GOD.

I had my eye twitch for two/three months when I started college back in August. I knew it had to do with the stress that I was feeling at the time, but holy crap, it was annoying.

I took some St. John's Wort and it seemed to help me out a little bit.

The worst part is if you're outside like on a bus or train... you're thinking other people can see your eye twitching.
