Be real still

Typically in my area there are plenty of christmas lights in peoples yards.
They put them up for thanksgiving basically.
Soon as the leaves hit the ground workers come and weave white lights through every branch of every tree large and small in the yards of the wealthiest neighbors.
This year it seems not one is making a sound, everyone is being real still so as not to attract attention to themselves.

The lighting of the Macy's tree, i think thats what it was called, seemed distasteful. But just because of the state of peoples lives in the face of the economy. They should have just quietly light there tree without ceremony. IMO

shrug

I dunno, I think people need to take joy in the small things or ritualistic things to take their minds off their troubles. Not to avoid the issues, but to distract a little bit and relax.
