What's the biggest. . . tip you ever got as a waitperson or bartender from a single patron or in a single night?
OR What's the biggest tip you left for someone? [Edited 12/3/08 14:20pm]

I had a regular give me $100 and the Complete Ella Fitzgerald Songbooks, so about $400. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

Now THAT's a great tip and thoughtful too. I'm assuming you like Ella. Did you tell the customer this?

When I worked at Starbucks people would get really generous around the holidays.
Several regulars would give me really nice gifts just for making a latte Best tips would be: 1. $50 cash 2. $25 Nordstrom gift card 3. $20 Trader Joe's giftcard + free face care products If you will, so will I

Now THAT's a great tip and thoughtful too. I'm assuming you like Ella. Did you tell the customer this? We would talk Jazz for hours every Monday. I still go back there on Monday from time to time and have a drink with him. Cool guy. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. I've never worked for tips but I did get $300 for being misperceived as a worker
I can't remember the biggest tip I gave. I guess it would be percentage based like 40% vs 20% or something like that. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I waited in clubs the first time in 1994 after college. But just last week, I ran into an old regular that remembered me by name. I hadn't seen him in over 10 years. I think it should be mandatory for everyone to work in a service capacity at some point in their lives. It really humbles you.

tip you ever got as a waitperson or bartender from a single patron or in a single night?
I was dancing one time @ a club (No, I'm not a stripper) And I was just dancing for fun on the dancefloor, I was not working or anything, with one of my friends... and a tourist who was visiting New York was so taken by my dancing that they gave me a $20 bill What's the biggest tip you left for someone?
The biggest tip I ever left someone was a 50% tip. A female waiter @ the Magic Johnson T.G.I.Fridays in Ladera Heights, California. She was working really hard and dealing with a lot of rude customers and she was so nice and sweet. My meal was only like $10 but I gave her $5. And my friend also gave her money. We only ordered 2 burgers and gave her a $10 tip combined.

I used to work @ Abercrombie as a cashier and we got no tips. And I used to work my ass off in those flip flops. lol

One ?uestion,,,,and please take no offence.. Was benting & spreading your legs after that an option? Why, Harley? Do you think that's a lot? I routinely got $400 and $500 tips when I was a waitress and I had a strict policy not to date anyone I met in the clubs. One night, I even made $1500 (most of it came from a single customer with a $4000 tab though) . . . and I kept my clothes on. I used to hang out with some older gay dudes, and every Tuesday they'd go to a really swanky hotel bar and rack up a thousand dollar tab and they'd kick the waitress about $500 EVERY week.
