Try not to think about it in such stark terms...instead of procrastination, come to think of it as "biding your time"....nod

yeah that's it, pace yourself...an old manager of mine used to tell me all the time..'i've watched how you work, and you time everything to take a certain amount of time...just enough time to get everything done you're supposed to do..
and nothing extra...you pace yourself to work like that every day..'
and i continued to do so...

that backfires sometimes too..

well in my camouflaged world, its the same thing...if you're the kind of leader that makes things happen, the upper leadership will slowly but surely route major tasks your way...the flipside being while I'm working my ass off, my peers are off BSing the day away.....

timetable your day, there is a time for working and a time for playing.

i know what time i have to wake up, what time i have to eat, what i have to eat, when i have to walk my dog, go out etc etc, everyday. othewise i wouldn't get jack shit done.

i also have days off where i can do what i feel like, but if you are working towards something, discipline, and sticking to your timetable, well it works for me.

Ok, I'm going to try writing out a rigid timetable and sticking to it. I've never been a creature of routine -- I don't like every day to be the same -- but I'll write one out every morning, depending on what I need to do that day.

Thanks for the suggestion. It must seem obvious, but it's not something I've ever done.

Your brain will rebel. Mine does. I simply don't work that way. I just have to leave things til the last minute and then grind them out. disbelief

I know, but girl, I'm gonna be a med student. There's gonna be too gawddamned much stuff to do. iDunno, maybe at that point it becomes irrelevant, because every minute is the last minute. But I fear going into it with such bad habits. And honestly, my grades have been slipping, and if I don't turn that around, it's gonna be tough to get in. Meh.
