That scene whre she walks out of the airport into the cold is almost exactly what some Dutch friends of mine experienced a few years ago when visiting Mpls. in the winter. nod

They still talk about the cold. They had never experienced anything like it, and of course they didn't have anything really warm to wear with them either. lol

I suppose some is true. And out-state Minnesota is different than the cities. Small towns are the same as small towns all through the US too, I suppose.

Do Minnesotans really do that?

I HATE when people do that, but I don't notice it often.

I don't know why, but I always notice when it's a Minnesotan. And I notice it a LOT.

"Up north" there are. I don't know of any where I live, though there are walking/cross-country skiing/snowshoeing trails and such.

It's 17 right now and there's a few inches of snow on the ground. There will be more snow this week. "Normal" highs are around 23-25 this time of year. January is when we get single digits (above or below zero) over night.

Are you talking about our Minnesota accents? Yeah, Darin and I both have it a bit. It gets more pronounced when we're around our relatives. We both come from the same suburb. lol

I do when I smile. neutral

And I hate it. (And I think that very squint is the reason I hate HER so much too.)

Which is why I always have the same smile in posed pictures. You know the one. With my mouth open and eyes all wide.

My parents often rent cabins up north in the winter for a getaway. It's quite peaceful. nod
