That scene whre she walks out of the airport into the cold is almost exactly what some Dutch friends of mine experienced a few years ago when visiting Mpls. in the winter.

They still talk about the cold. They had never experienced anything like it, and of course they didn't have anything really warm to wear with them either.

I think of Minnesota as one of the biggest suppliers of people who drive slow in the left lane on the interstate

on a transfer at the airport in pittsburgh(from florida to new york) i wore shorts leaving tampa and didn't change to pants...ran all the way through the airport...

Yesterday morning it was around 17 degrees out - dead still cold as hell

right now it's 60 with a warm wind

"Up north" there are. I don't know of any where I live, though there are walking/cross-country skiing/snowshoeing trails and such.

It's 17 right now and there's a few inches of snow on the ground. There will be more snow this week. "Normal" highs are around 23-25 this time of year. January is when we get single digits (above or below zero) over night.
