I think maybe I'd better start doing that Cool, we have something to look forward to in 2010!

ZombieKitten said: This is how it looked here last night! Venus, Jupiter and the moon made a smilie face it looked so cute in the sky! If you are in the northern hemisphere it would have been an upside down frowning face That first photo is a good shot. You can see Jupiter, or is this taken with a telescope?

You can see Jupiter, or is this taken with a telescope? I didn't take it, but when I went to post the one I HAVE taken, it's identical to this one. It's taken with a telephoto lens of about 200mm, which isn't a huge amount of magnification. [Edited 12/3/08 12:57pm]

This is amazing. I saw this during twilight here in LA and it was spectacular because a plane was flying underneath making a cloud streak under the 3 lunar bodies 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

That's right, and it moves and we move, so it doesn't stay the same looking for very long! Right, so by the time Japan sees the sky the moon's in a different position than when we saw it in the US, but would it really look so different for northern and southern hemisphere at the same moment?
