This was my first Thanksgiving away from my family and my friends so i took the emergency on call shift for the day.

It was a pretty quiet day so I made myself some turkey drumsticks, stuffing, cresent rolls, cranberry sauce, and roasted potatoes. Then, right as I was sitting down, a lady called about a duck in her pond that was very sick and had almost drowned. Three hours later (she lived far away) I was treating my very first duck patient.

She seemed pretty bad off yesterday but she's doing great today!

*pats tummy* I've tried fasting before. It's great...until dad decides to come home with the drippiest most seductive ribs in all of Chicago with the best fries and the little cup of cole slaw that falls apart if you grab it wrong. D= He didn't know, though. I think he thought I was just really full. Sounds like you got a lot of meditation done, though. That's good. =D

Yesterday, I hung out with my family, ate too much, and then I watched the kids play video games and argue It was fun!

I spent half the day at the Org and the other half reading.



How many times have you fasted, Mach?

we had dinner in the City Watch House, part of the old melbourne gaol.
It was very dimly lit and the homicide squad chief gave an hour long talk with videos and photos of local murders.
They had one very long table down the corridor and I sat approximately where the padded cell door is. After dinner we got mugshots taken.

made dinner, had a nice time with my husband and son. we put up our x-mas tree like we do every year, watched movies, etc.

yes it was excellent! since I looked away when they showed the photos of the woman eaten by her own 15 unfed cats, I managed to enjoy my steak
