Is anyone here a fan of the shield. I think this is one of the best cop shows on television. well its over now, but was wondering if there are any fans of the show.

its' pretty brutal but it had an excellent cast and excellent writing and i think the series finale was done properly.

HUGE FAN right here!!! The finale was EXTRAORDINARY, so heart breaking!!! What torture!!! Was justice served in the end???

did you get the feeling we may see more of Vic down the line...?

You know I thought Vic would be gunned down by the other cops, or would take his own life, but I think that was too predictable so they left it up to the viewers imagination. i'm thinking when he grabbed that gun and left, he would still find a way to work the streets, so yes we may see more of Vick Mackey. i was captivated by the ending. you could just feel the torture of being imprisoned to that desk, it's just not him, in that suit, how uncomfortable.

i felt sorry for Ronnie, though, he paid for his loyalty to Vic and got screwed in the end. i thought he was one of the nice ones.

and as for Shane, well he had no other way out.
